An Appointment with the Wind
David Du
Originally tree and leaf were a family,
Stuck together
Through rains and frosts,
Even bugs were devastated.
However, the leaf is always restless
As she has an appointment with the wind.
The wind gave her a promise
To let her travel throughout the world.
Although the tree is unwilling
to part,
To even take the story
That they supported their lives in difficulty,
Leaf approaches her life straight forwardly.
Finally, wind comes,
haughty,
from around the tree,
He understands the tree is not his opponent.
Even the tree is not qualified
To become a shape of his challenge.
Finally the wind is gone
And he realizes his promise with the leaf,
The tree cries silently and lonely.
