最近有客户前来翻译护照上的出入境章，似乎对认证和公证两个概念有所混淆。
认证（certify）是指对文件的真实性的确认(续卡所需程序）；
公证（notarize）是公证机构根据法定程序对民事法律行为、有法律意义的事实和文书的真实性、合法性予以证明的活动。
总的来说，续枫叶卡，您提交的文件满足以下两个条件即可，非常简单：
1. 五年内的所有护照每页的影印件（copied passport pages)和非英文/法文文件翻译件(出入境章），所有非英文/法文文件的影印件需要认证（certify）。CIC网站上列出一些可做certify的职业：教师，牙医，律师，社会工作者，注册工程师........。

Photocopies of all pages of all passports you held in the past five (5) years (if your stamps are not in English or French, please have them translated)。
You must send certified copies of any legal name change document and of any document that is not in English or French.

Important information： Translations by family members are not acceptable.

只要你的材料是真实的，而且你也住够时间，没有理由不批准换卡。但如果政府有点疑问会在让你取卡时带原件核实一下。
