有谁知道是有这样的说法吗？但我看到有些人在自家门窗上贴花反而没问题，老公还想写信去申诉一下呢。
，我以为新年在自家门上张贴象＂万事如意，恭贺新禧＂这样的东西应该没有问题呀

我建议你不要在门外挂任何让别人知道你是中国人的装饰.
不是我不爱国,没有名族自豪感,我属于比较谨慎的人.因为在这个多民族混杂的地方,你不能阻止某些人对中国人的偏见,你要是给自己贴标签,比如在大门挂福字,在汽车里吊中国结,如果碰到一个仇视中国人的疯子,就可能往你家大门喷漆,把你的车子划条道, 有些人可能觉得中国人家都有现金,搞不好还遭贼破门而入.
你们小区的bylaw可能就是为了避免这一弊端.

就是一帮入室盗窃的，在house区开车巡视，观察卫星天线朝向。
南亚裔的居民看的卫星频道有特定的方向，能从天线的方向判断出来。
因为南亚裔居民喜欢戴大块的黄金首饰，家中多黄金，专门入室偷他们。
我家车库旁边的墙上有个废天线锅，买房子以前地下室的老住户是南亚裔的，朝向肯定是他们那个方向。
听到那个新闻以后赶快把那天线给拿下了，之前大门锁还真的被拧过一次，万幸没拧开。

A local guy told me that Christmas and New Year celebration starts from December 1 and ends on January 2 evey year. Usually the decoration has to be removed on January 2. A family will be considered a lazy family if the decoration is not removed after January 2.
Basically, the outside of your unit entrance door is not allowed to have any kind of decoration all year round, even the Christmas Decoration. But people will not say anything about the Christmas Decoration for a month or so. If the decoration is longer than a month, most of the council will ask the owners to remove it. Of course, not every council enforces their bylaws. So do not surprise if you see the Christmas Decoration in a condo building after March.
Chinese "Fu" on your door for a short peroid of time is understandable and allowable. But if it is over a certain amount of time, it is not allowed.

不会吧，我们这里的都是在较暖的时候才会装卸圣诞彩灯的，一月份冷得要命，根本就没人把彩灯拆下来。如果是屋檐的彩灯多数都是不拆的，一般只拆院子里的和树上的。至于圣诞的wreath，那是爱挂多久挂多久。我觉得楼主之所以被限制是因为住在townhouse,有他们自己的条例。

不是很确定，但是听说townhouse屋外是物管管的，屋内是自己管的，如果贴在屋外，那有人投诉物管就要管了，如果贴在屋内应该就没问题。
