新保守党领袖可能是这两个人中的一个
虽然参加保守党领袖角逐的候选人多达14人，但真正有望在两个月后成为加拿大联邦保守党新领袖的可能只有两个人，这就是马克西姆.贝尼尔Maxime Bernier 和凯文.奥莱利 Kevin O’Leary。
两虎相争
民意测验专家埃里克.格莱尼尔Éric Grenier为加拿大广播公司撰写的分析文章说，从获得金钱资助、获得本党议员支持、和在民意测验中的表现等因素的分析来看，目前在保守党众多党魁候选人中领先的是马克西姆.贝尼尔，紧随其后的是凯文.奥莱利。
来自魁北克省的联邦议会保守党议员马克西姆.贝尼尔获得的金钱资助最多、得到本党党员支持方面排在第二位。
目前还不是联邦议会议员的凯文.奥莱利主要是在民意测验方面表现最好，在其他方面则是表现平平。
特朗普的影子
不过，专家们指出去年美国总统大选在众多共和党候选人角逐总统候选人提名方面特朗普几乎与目前的凯文.奥莱利处在同样的情况。当时特朗普在获得金钱资助和党内支持方面的表现都很差，但在民意测验方面却表现出色;结果是特朗普不但杀出重围成为共和党的总统候选人，而且最终击败获胜呼声很高的民主党总统候选人希拉里.克林顿、当选为美国总统。
凯文.奥莱利与特朗普的相同之处是，两人都是自己创业致富的富翁，都是电视节目中的名人，都是口无遮拦、语不惊人死不休，都是对政治正确嗤之以鼻的人物。

与马克西姆.贝尼尔和和凯文.奥莱利这领跑的第一梯队相比，曾经担任过联邦议会议长的安德鲁.谢尔Andrew Scheer，曾经担任过哈珀保守党政府内阁部长的凯莉.里奇 Kellie Leitch和来自安大略省的议员艾林.奥图尔 Erin O’Toole则远远的跟在后面，算是第二梯队。
剩下的9位保守党党魁候选人基本上就属于乏善可陈了。

kevin 除了有钱， 别的方面平平。而且大部分时间在美国生活， 对加拿大并不了解，管理国家不一定靠谱。

呵呵，我支持庄文浩，当然就替他宣广一下了。我认为，无论你要支持还是反对一个人，都应该详细了解他，这样你才会做得更好，正如我支持庄文浩, Andrew, Brad, Erin, Chris，反对KO、MB、KL，我都是首先尽量了解他们的有关情况，而且我认为要想更好地了解候选人，没有比当面观察、与其直接交流更好的方式了，我与至少五个保守党党魁候选人直接交流过，其余的没有机会当面交流的，也尽力多渠道详细了解了，所以我希望大家也能尽量多接触、多了解对比各候选人，这样会更好地做出判断和决定。我最敬佩的是庄文浩, Brad, Piere和KL，不管我是否赞同他们的观点，他们是左还是右，他们都是有坚定信念的人，我想这也是Brad和Andrew公开表示敬重庄文浩的原因吧。

那你就宣传你支持的右的候选人呗，这就是民主社会嘛，大家公开辩论，各讲自己的道理，最后选择权在自己手里，根据支持者多少决定领导人，不撕破脸，不动武，暂时落选的下次还有机会赢回，有点西方崇尚的骑士风度，或者说中国古代所谓君子之风嘛。

安茹伯爵亨利与英王斯蒂芬争夺英格兰王位开战后，向斯蒂芬提出暂时休战，理由是军费不足了，需要回法国筹措军费。斯蒂芬居然答应了，等亨利筹到军费回来打败了斯蒂芬，斯蒂芬承认了亨利具有英王位继承权，但是要等斯蒂芬死后登基，就这样结束了这场纷争，真是：做人留一线，日后好相见。这种骑士风度也是现代西方民主制的基础吧，比如Jack Layton去世后，原为其政敌的所有加拿大政坛政要都在其葬礼上缅怀他，丝毫没有你死我活的情形出现，正如伏尔泰之名言：我不同意你的观点，但是我誓死捍卫你说出观点的权利。

A source familiar with the leadership race described a process whereby organizers would offer pre-paid cards to members of the community, tell them to sign up using the card, and obtain a photocopy of their identification at the same time.

The plan, according to the source, was to visit the people again when they’d received their mail-in ballots, collect them and fill them out centrally, attaching the photocopied IDs that are required to verify a voter’s identity.

如果此种丑闻被落实了，不论谁当选党魁，保守党的支持率都不容乐观，对下届大选也必然有深远的负面影响，搞此伎俩的人就是保守党和加拿大的罪人，无论其是否来自保守党内，而且对正在St Laurent选区为补选而苦战的余昌涛(属MB派系) 也会是一个打击。

我昨天也看到这个消息， "The Conservative Party of Canada has removed 1,351 names from its membership list after discovering they were purchased anonymously and inappropriately"
保守党查出1351 个人操作不当匿名购买会员。

但是并没有查实是谁做的？
只有kevin自己指责是MB, 但是MB 声明他的团队没有这样做。

目前 还没有确凿证据是哪个派别。只是凭借kevin 自己猜测指责。

不过挺奇怪，为什么偏偏只kevin 发现？ 目前他的积分仅在MB 之后， 离投票没几天了，这个时候提出来这个噱头？
别的保守党员也竞争， 怎么不去注意这事情？？
即使党内出现这种问题， 也应该汇报给党内相应的管理组织， 怎么就只让kevin 知道呢？

Then, in a series of tweets, the TV personality (kevin o'leary) asked the 13 other candidates “to put politics aside” and “unite to protect the integrity of democracy” by join him in demanding that the party throw out falsified memberships. “Who’s with me?” O’Leary tweeted.

Saskatchewan MP Brad Trost tweeted back: “Honestly sorry this did not work out the way you expected, good luck in all your future endeavors.”

Vancouver businessman Rick Peterson responded: “Start showing up for #cpcldr debates and be a #cpc team player and we’ll chat.”

Former MP Andrew Saxton replied in French: “I ask you to enter politics and promote democracy by showing up to the debates. Are you with me?”

O’Leary announced his leadership bid the day after the Quebec City French debate. The unilingual anglophone decided not to show up to the party’s bilingual debate in Edmonton, saying he disliked the format. O’Leary has also suggested he may not show up to the final debate in Toronto next month.

Conservative challenger Kellie Leitch said on Twitter that O’Leary casting aspersions on other candidates, without a shred of evidence, said everything Canadians needed to know about him.

.@kevinolearytv is the only candidate in the race who's been fined by the party. So it's really something that now he's pointing fingers 1/2

..without any evidence. You need to put up or shut up Kevin.
