要说打印照片（在那种照片用打印纸上，而不是普通纸上），可能就得是喷墨打印机了吧。那样的话，价钱低廉，打出的照片还是不错的。以前我的ID类的照片都是自己打印的。

No idea. But I had printed out photos on ordinary A4 paper from professional laser machine. Good enough, better fixed in a frame.

Costco打印一张照片一毛钱，手机点几下就可以上传打印，没必要自己弄。我家的喷墨打印机当作垃圾扔了，太难伺候了。

如果打印不多的话不建议买打印机。我前前后后买过两个打印机，每次都是很少用然后搬家就送人。
现在我都到staples，打印复印效果很好，纸张质量很不错，收费便宜。

I had a laser Sumsung printer before, to print textbooks from pdf. But I could not tolerate the speed.
Best way is to use schools or libraries public printers if they offer good prices. They have professional ones as big as washing machines.

正版书真他么贵，尤其在欧洲，买英语书还得从德国，英国代购。美国就好很多，特别是二手的，几美刀一本。但问题是很少送欧洲。即便送，也容易遗失邮包。

另外各大出版社的chapter也很不错。但是太贵了。我一般都下载PDF自己打印

We have 400 pages' credit each termin from school. I only print the needed chapters. Heavy to carry but much more blank places to make notes. I almost only read textbooks at home.

We have no boss around. The printers sits in computer salongs or corridors, just push the task to the machine via account & wifi. No matter double-sided or not, it is the same price for one A4 page print. The color print price is tripled.

Speaking about engineering textbooks, I am sure Kindle DX from Amazon is a joke. Better solution is to buy printer or print credits. Even iPad is much better than Kindle as it can show colourful illustrations. Many paperback edition textbooks do not have as many colours as its pdf version, e.g. "Android 6 for programmers".
