Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, the Information Technology Specialist is responsible for managing and executing everyday operations in the Information Technology department. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting network problems.
You will have: in-depth knowledge of an academic or technical discipline normally acquired through courses leading to a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in the computer/technology field; experience in a windows SERVER based network environment; working knowledge of Windows XP, Office XP, Windows 2003-8 Server; proven hardware and software troubleshooting skills; good organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail; creative problem-solving and logistical skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to work with a range of people within a multicultural environment; demonstrates awareness of issues affecting women and girls. Core Competencies: understand and support the mission and beliefs of YWCA Toronto; incorporate principles of anti-oppression and equity at YWCA Toronto; demonstrate respect, consideration and acceptance of the opinions of others while expressing her own expertise and effectively utilizing relevant resources and specialists; consistently collaborate with team members, sharing ideas and differences openly; be receptive to new ideas and adapt to change as necessary; set goals, prioritize tasks and carry out responsibilities to achieve quality results; take action to avoid or solve problems and create opportunities for positive change; demonstrate commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
The hours of work for this position are 35 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $20.49 per hour.
