I recieved the first letter from the Embassy of Canada and got my file number half a year ago. I have stopped learning english for 8 years since I graduated from university. It was so difficult for me to understand the entire english letter. I was a little afraid.
Based on other conditions, I must get double 7 in the examination at least. It's a long long way for me to go.
When should I take the examination？ It's a frequently asked question. I have asked myself the same question hundreds of times. Finally, I desided to take it at the end of 2008 and I successfully engaged a seat on Dec, 13th.
So, there are seven months for me to prepare.
Good luck to myself and all examinees.

我是2月22日寄出（中介办的，不知签收几号），4月22日扣款，应该是91新政尾吧。所以应该没那么快，按现在的进度应该8月才有档案号，所以我准备明年9月考雅思，我的中介说明年年底考都太早，当然是一颗红心两种准备，也不能全信他们的话。所以准备明年9月考下下，心里没底呀。所以我的计划是比较长期的那种，因为还不是考前冲刺。现在也就是背新概念加那个初级听力和中级听力。不过我是把进度落实到每天，每天都有具体的课文要完成，我觉得还行吧，为了防止自己偷懒，我还嘱咐妈妈他们每次打电话给我都要追问我的进度，所以我也“不敢”偷懒呀！

这样好,有人监督就更有紧迫感.
香港的FN发得慢点,中介的话确实不能全信,有些耽误事的案例的说,还是万事相信自己.
向你学习,任务落实到每天还找人监督.我也要沿用这个办法,找个人每天拿根鞭子抽屁股,呵呵,给你加分分了,一起加油!!

既然有计划就好了.

本人考过一次鸭(虽然还没有FN,递料之前考的,要试一试自己的差距).
因为只要四个5,没有报学习班.同学给了好多复习资料,但比较老了,同学是几年前考的,人已在加拿大两年(自己觉悟得太晚,鄙视中).自己也去书店买了几本最新的,总的下些本钱吧,学起来才会用心些.

书主要是鸭司的复习资料,新东方的(较旧,同学送的)和北语的,自己买的是剑桥的. 只是在工作之余看,不是特别用心,有例为证,经常被LP指责不用功,借学习之名不干家务.

书也买了,上网查了烤鸭的事项,注册,汇款,报考一步步做完了,已经比预期的时间晚了一个月(排不到座位),名报完后距离考试只有不到一个月的时间了,开始潜心学习吧,要不真的对不起报名费了,那是自己的血汗钱呀.

还是每天下班后看书做模拟题(主要是剑桥系列的),基本上到晚上11点半,不能太晚了,第二天还要上班.每天都能做两套题,严格按规定的时间内完成,强制提高阅读速度.星期六日有一整天的时间,还是做题(以前错的多的,重新做),听力模拟题也反复听,间或听listen to this和北语的黑眼睛.

写和说没怎么准备,有一本写作的范文,看了大致的题目类型,写作要求和结构(新东方的资料有些用),说真的要靠平时积累了,当然听的时候自己大声复述出来也是有用的.

阅读和听力最能提高成绩了,而且阅读是我们的强项,得7不难.烤鸭还是需要一定的技巧的,如果有很详细的计划和较长的时间,从基础开始当然最好成绩,如果没有太充裕的时间,多做多听模拟题,看烤鸭技巧的培训教材(新东方,环球等)还是有用的.如果你有时间有不怕多花些钱的话,参加学习班也许有更好的效果.

三个星期的冲刺结果是:平均6, 单项:读7.5, 听6, 说5,写5.

告诉大家这些的目的是:如果你需要四个7真的要下大工夫,真工夫. 如果你需要两个7,应该不难. 本人在大学期间英语是一个字:差. 及格都要命了,现在学英语的资料太丰富了,什么资料都可以在网上找到,更主要的是有许多热心助人的TZ.

鸭子烤过后,发现自己买的书有一本还没看,而且也可以在网上下载.

考试是过了,学习刚开始,要从基础开始了,这是关乎适应能力的大事.

perkin_00 筒子讲得很中肯.三个星期得到这样的成绩也非常厉害了.真如本人所说的大学英语及格都成问题的话,那么只能推断大学考试的不合理或复习效果非常明显或烤鸭时候比较幸运.不过我想主要还是本人的基本功扎实,学习方法得当,提高能力比较快.

烤鸭只是第一步,真正要做到工作学习生活正常交流,还有路要走,大家共勉!!

报告一下进度，期待大家继续鞭策。
昨天过完NEC 2的unit 1,把课文当绕口令较熟练快读，未背诵。打算今天背，又被抓加班，晕，快点干活完毕，不惜一切代价，今天争取拿下！！否则落后太多了了。

课件是在下载专区下的，2到4都有，因为我离考试还有较充裕的时间，所以把每课的课件都听下下，有时觉得老师讲得太详细有些烦，但没听似乎又有些东西似是而非，所以象我这种放下太多年，基础又不好的人还是合适的。背诵用了那个《超级循环背诵表》，就按那顺序背诵，我觉得还好，你也试试？就在英语世界那个界面可以下载，至少每天该背啥该复习啥不用动脑筋了。

多嘴给指出一下这几句话的问题。
雅思写作考试，其中一个评分标准有句子多样性和词汇丰富程度。上面几句是从你的拷下来的。注意一样，所有的句子都是I 开头，句子结构显得单调。还需努力。否则7分不容易

I开头多、句式单一这个问题在写的时候也有所感觉，但是江郎才尽，找不到替代语句，以后要针对此项多积累。希望下次再有东西写出来能继续得到指点！

今天在领导车上偶然听到一个英文的电台,说啥LEADERS ARE READERS,想起以前在学校听英文广播的那份热情.现在听力挺郁闷的,网上下的那些NCE 等都是磁带翻版成的MP3,声音比较小,在上班路上根本就听不见,刻成碟在车里放到最大声都听不出来是啥.在房间里用电脑放,客厅电视开大声点干扰一下就听不见了,初级中级听力的版本还好...

5 Months Left
Time is passing by so quickly that there are only 5 months left for me to shorten the distance between my dream IELTS scores and my English level. I must spend more time to work hard on it because it's not only the first step to immigrate but the language I have to use in every future day as well.
It's very important to put myself into an English atmosphere all day and all night. I have copied some listening files into my mobile phone so that I can listen to it any time I want by the earphone which is connected to the mobile phone, even at the meeting.
Despite of the endless work, I bring at least one IELTS book with me. Were there any spare time, I'll open it and learn something.
These are what I have been doing for about a month. Next, writing must be on my schedule but no effective way has been found to practice the skill except writing dairy everyday. Speaking is the most difficult part among the four skills. I havn't had even one IELTS friend to converse with so far. Maybe I will have later.
No matter how long and how hard the way to 7 is, I believe I can make it some day. Just go for it!

Outdoor life
It was very strange when we saw people with big backpacks several years ago. As time went by, camping has become more and more popular and I have become one of them, who shoulder big backpacks and enjoy their outdoor lives.
There are many different outdoor activities. What I like most is climbing. Many beautiful views are waiting for me to take a look at them. Breathing fresh air without any pollution and swimming in a mountain stream are experiences I will never forget. At the same time, climbing mountains is of great benefit to physical health.
Out door activities do good to mental health too. We are under pressure such as promotion, loans and relationship etc. Being far away from the city is the best way to relax. In doing so, we Put ourselves into nature, which will make us feel that we are real, we are alive and we are happy.

Hello dude, I signed up for the IELTS on the same day as you. Let's just try our best to pass the exam.
In the past months, I tried to memorize English vocabularies. At the same time, I also listened to the CNN and NPR radio with realplayer, which helped a lot. Now I can understand 90% of the English news. But the fact is that my written and spoken English improved little. Maybe I just need to do more exercise and get familiar with the IELTS test.

At the same time (meanwhile), climbing mountains (remove the word mountains) is of great benefit (also a great boon) to (our) physical health.

Outdoor activities do good to mental health too. Nowadays, city people are suffering from heavy pressure such as promotion, loans and relationship, etc. Getting far away from the city is one of the best ways to relax and free our mind. Getting ourselves immerse in the great nature will make us feel we are real, we are alive and we are happy.
