Manage very large datasets from multiple sources for numerous projects. Move and merge data files from different platforms, clean data and perform data quality control.
2. Work closely with the Principal Investigator, Program Manager, and Data Analysts to establish the appropriate format for large databases from multiple sources.
3. Organize and create documents related to databases and facilitate analyses; organize and keep track of the status of datasets, communicate with data source about data accuracy and data dictionary, access data servers and record the location of databases, clearly label variables and define variables through detailed description in the database.
4. Conduct preliminary analyses to verify quality of data received, including, but not necessarily limited to summary statistics.
5. Perform descriptive statistics under the direction of the investigators, which may include running variable frequencies, summarizing these data and reporting to investigators any atypical findings.
6. Perform other data analysis as needed and under the direction of the investigators.
7. Communicate with external investigators and contractors about data specifications and requirements to meet project goals.
8. Maintain CORE database systems including back up, security and compliance with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures.
9. Consult with experts on new processes for efficient and secure data management, and implement suggestions.
10. Work with other organizations collaborating on CORE projects, including the American College of Cardiologists (ACC) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in order to standardize separate data files which may be utilized jointly in terms of accuracy, data quality and consistency with respect to variable and file names and descriptions.
11. Recommend hardware and software requirements and updates.
12. Ensure data security and compliance with data use agreements by becoming knowledgeable about, and strictly adhering to, the policies and procedures set forth by contractors in their data use agreements.Education and Experience1. Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in relational database applications, either as a developer or DBA trainer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

5. Perform ongoing participation in strategic planning and decision making associated with the implementation of new AYA IT services and tools that support AYA staff, hundreds of AYA alumni volunteers in their alumni leadership roles and all individual alumni.
6. Create and develop databases primarily in MySQL (including maintenance, administration and support for existing application and take a lead role in developing new solutions). Integrate custom built systems and vendor supplied applications.
7. Research and keep abreast of emerging technologies, trends and tools; evaluate open source and commercial products and recommend enhancements; provide leadership in the implementation of new solutions to improve processes, manage development requests and match/exceed technology offerings provided by peer institutions.
8. Analyze technical server logs and prepare reports for the AYA senior leadership team summarizing AYA Web site performance metrics; recommend changes when appropriate.
9. Serve as primary liaison for 100+ alumni volunteers regarding alumni Web sites. 上面第三个职位ANALYST 3 属于高级职位,要求当然高,你可申请初级职位,12,这里选人是很严格的,但一旦被选中,福利还是很好的,而且不用担心裁员.有个PROGRAMMER就是本科斯坦福,硕士伯克利,IBM工作数年.再来这里的.本地的老外.所以中国人必须很突出才行.我去过IT部门开过会,见到有1-2个中国面孔,但很少.
除了学位和语言,COMMUNICATION 和INTERPERSONAL SKILLS是很关键的.,还要看你的REFERENCE.大学一般都要做REFERENCE CHECK.YALE不怕招不到人,而是要招优秀的人.

  他们在曼哈坦的一家意大利餐厅吃了顿饭。江平告诉科亨,他在华尔街看到太多的阴暗面,决定退出江湖。但是,科亨发现江平身上“有着超级交易员(supertrader) 的潜力”,极力劝他不要放弃,可以先在赛克挂名。“如果同意加入,即可获得一笔加盟奖金。”江平为其诚意感动,决定加入赛克。

  两年多来,他管理的对冲基金业绩傲人。但是,他对目前的对冲基金的贪婪和共同基金的僵化不满。因此,他设想与科亨合作,成立一个新型的投资基金,“在全球范围内寻求最佳资产组合,以图长期回报”。“其特点是基金经理的收入将与投资者的长期回报挂钩。”如果投资受损,公司将基金经理的奖金返还给投资者。

  美国华人金融学会(TCFA)现任会长、瑞殿集团(Radian Group)信用投资主管蒋明认为,江平设想的新型基金“很有价值”。现在,共同基金存在许多限制,而对冲基金“赚钱就拿两成收益,亏本就关掉,然后再开一个”。江平的新型基金让基金经理承担一定的风险,可在一定程度上“解决这个问题”。他相信凭借江平的投资纪录,一定能够吸引足够多的投资者。

  加入赛克 再创辉煌

  江平1993年毕业于普林斯顿大学,获得化学博士学位,接着进入斯坦福大学攻读金融学博士。1995年,江平进入李曼兄弟公司拉美外汇交易部。他说,实际上该部门是公司最差的部门。当年,李曼公司差点在墨西哥货币上破产。“人家都不要来,我去这个部门被视为去做炮灰。”

  从1995年至 2004年,世界经济危机一波接着一波。但是,江平的投资业绩一直在三、四成到一倍以上,成为李曼公司贡献最大的交易员。按照华尔街的规矩,基金经理的分成一般是业绩的10%到15%,但是江平的分成不到这个比率的三分之一。“我主要是不会替自己讲价钱。”他在李曼潜心钻研,悟出许多东西。他说:“武术高手还要十年磨一剑呢!”

  但是,赛克公司则不同。科亨一见面就送大礼。江平说,“我从来没有一下子拿那么多现金,而且没有任何压力”。他过去多年每年赢利过亿,也没有获得那么多奖金。科亨让他有一种知音的感觉。2005年春节,他和太太带着两个美国出生的儿女,回到江苏省靖江县老家和父母一起过年。“我自从1989年出国,还没有回去过过年。” 他说,这是他过的最快乐的一次春节。

  回到美国后,他向李曼公司提出辞呈。他说,华尔街的人跳槽很常见,像他这样业绩很好、收入很低且一待10年的人很少。李曼公司极力挽留,“提供近千万美元的留聘奖励,包括现金、提高的分红和贷款等”。但是,江平不为所动。

  2005年3 月,他正式去赛克公司,投资七国集团的外汇、指数、拉美外汇、债券和欧洲信贷,但一开始并不顺利,“亏了七、八百万美元”。他感到一定的压力。不久,赛克主席科亨请他到家里吃饭,同时被邀请的还有前里根总统的经济顾问。看到他情绪不好,科亨对他说:“不要担心,我并不了解你做什么,但是我了解你这个人,我相信你一定能够做回来。”结果,他当年就成为赛克最出色的基金经理之一。

  2006年,他把业务扩展到中国和亚洲股票以及全球石油和能源股票。但当年新兴国家的国债和股票遭到重创。是退是进,当时议论纷纷,科亨和寇恩力排众议,全力支持继续扩大,结果当年他的收益达到近一倍。科亨曾对江平说过:“希望你超过我,对你我都是幸事。”结果,江平在赛克第一年就实现科亨对他的期望,成为全球获利最多的基金经理之一。

  过人功力 来自训练

  江平说,他在金融衍生品上的功力来自过去的严格训练。在斯坦福大学读金融学博士期间,他太太生小孩,为了补贴家用,他在学校找到一份工作,辅导读工商管理硕士学位的学生。“这份工作,既辅导了学生,也锻练了自己。”

  他说,指导这些硕士生并不轻松,要经常批改考卷。学生在做金融衍生品题目时需要理论联系实际。“他们自己从市场中找实例来应用衍生品理论,答案是五花八门。”

  做为教师,他必须在规定的时间内批改完所有的试卷,感到压力很大。“它逼着我去研究金融衍生品,以便快速批改学生的试卷。”这样,他做过大量演算和识别图形,他能够对着满页纸的运算,一眼看出结果是对是错。“最后,我练到只看图形,就能估计出价格多少,结果和实际价格相差无几。”

  “理论在我身上已经成为一种生物直觉。”他认为,这种生物直觉对他后来的投资生涯发生重要的影响。

  墨西哥币 成突破口

  江平说, 1994年12月,墨西哥比索贬值,李曼公司损失惨重,信用被降级,一度谣传要破产。拉美外汇交易部的人几乎全被解雇。江平因为执意要做一线交易员,便被指定去做墨西哥比索。“我没有资本投入,没有客户,没有与墨西哥政府或企业联系,甚至连固定的座位也没有。”

  江平决定从衍生品着手。芝加哥的比索期货与银行间比索现汇相关,同时也与墨西哥利率相关。华尔街许多银行雇用数学博士设计模型供交易员从中套利,他却凭着对衍生品的熟悉,不用模型,仅用两个电话,在两个市场间来回交易。同时,他对银行间比索期权市场进行研究,发现长期比索期权价格,严重低估墨西哥利率的不确定性。他以此为契机,做多比索长期期权、做空比索短期期权,在短短一年内将李曼公司拉美外汇衍生品带入市场前五名。

  1997年的亚洲危机和1998年的俄罗斯危机期间,他的竞争者大部分未能生存。李曼公司内部困难重重,市场又谣传李曼要破产。但是,江平主管的拉美外汇部门却一度占到市场份额的一半。“有时我不上班,拉美外汇衍生品交易几乎停盘。”因此,江平被提升为高级副总裁。

  2001年,他经过对墨西哥利率市场的数年研究,发现墨西哥仍然存在机会。于是,他开始从事墨西哥利率曲线及利率基差的交易。“我的对手是华尔街的大银行。”但是,随着仓位的增加,许多金融机构连手,试图将李曼公司击溃。“我用小量资金进行试探,但每次都被他们打败,遭受损失。”

  后来,他采取边打边退的手法,小批量上去,但是不护盘,双方来回拉锯。为了保持实力,他分散资金,争取在夹在其它市场上赚钱,以支持墨西哥的市场亏损。“如果总的投资不能赚钱,我就不能生存。”

  2002年开始,他买进的数量开始增加,对手感觉到压力。当年下半年,他开始反击,接下来一年中每月从墨西哥赢利近千万美元。2003年底,他以少量资金将一家大银行困于泥潭。

  中国市场 收益丰厚

  作为一位来自中国的留美基金经理,江平一直关注祖国的经济发展。2001年,他对在海外上市的中国公司进行研究,发现中国公司的股票被严重低估。“我投资中国石油(PTR)比巴菲特要早。”

  2000年,全球股市下跌,当时中国最大的石油公司中国石油的市盈率(P/E)仅为5到8倍,而美国最大的石油公司美孚石油(XOM)的市盈率是16倍至19倍;前者分红率是8%到11%,而后者仅为2%至2.5%。“我看好石油行业的整体。”很显然,前一公司更好,但被严重低估,于是,他对该公司进行了投资。“但是,中国石油的价格两年没动。”

  2003年3月,股神巴菲特投资中国石油的消息被媒体披露,许多投资者跟进,导致股票狂涨,价格增长许多倍。不久前,巴菲特对中国石油减仓,但是股票价格却持续上涨。江平认为,如果中国石油股票价格下调的话,仍然具投资价值。

  1997年和1998年,美元兑人民币达到8以上。由于一系列新兴国家货币发生危机,市场上流传人民币必须贬值。但是,江平却认为,美元会贬值,而人民币却会上涨。“这在当时被认为不可思议。”现在来看,他的预测完全正确。

  2000年,江平认为,中国的房地产根本不用促销,将来一定会增值。于是,他开始投资中国房地产,现在,这些房地产都升值好多倍。

  2005年,中国股市持续熊市,投资者怨声连连。江平却敏锐地意识到,“一个前所未有的投资机会已经来临”。当时,许多优质股票市盈率不到10倍,而赢利每年都增长两到三成。银行利率不到2%,巨额存款有可能转入股市,大量外资为炒作人民币升值也透过种种渠道流入中国。结果,事实证明他的判断正确。

  美元贬值 提早预警

  1999年,美国经济如日中天。但是,江平预测,美国的高科技泡沫会很快破灭,联准会将不得不降低利率,而且其降息幅度之大、持续时间之长,将远远超出人们的预期。美国经常帐赤字将不会有任何好转,财政则会由盈余转为大幅赤字。

  这时,江平在李曼公司已经从“一个步兵成长为阵地指挥官”,是李曼内部最大的外汇、美国国债及利息曲线交易员。他决定两路出击:一路兵力集中做多二年到三年期的美国国债,同时做空美国长期债券。他说,“我相信联准会(Fed)减息会触发短期债券大幅升值,而弱势美元会阻吓国际投资者看多美国长期债券”。

  另一路兵力集中做空美元。当欧元跌至1.0时,江平开始进仓。然而,这一路并不顺利,因为美元在美国高科技股票破灭后又屡创新高。欧元曾经一度跌至0.8250。这个下跌幅度很大,许多华尔街的人损失惨重。“但是,我透过交易衍生品避免较大的亏损。”2002年,欧元从低点开始上涨,他抓住这个机会。

  正在华尔街很多人大叫“再也不做欧元了”时,他却持续购买欧元。到了2004年初,欧元兑美元涨到1.25比1时,他进行平仓,获利很多。其后,欧元兑美元涨到1.3比1。他说,虽然美元处于弱势,但是并不表示欧元、日元很强。

  价值投资 致胜之道

  江平说,衡量价值是他投资的最重要标准。有时,由于种种原因,投资者追捧热门股票,而所选价值股票继续低迷。这时,一定要有耐心,要坚信世界上邪不胜正,谎言只能得逞于一时。“价格总会回归于价值。”

  他在做长期投资时,不仅要做价值分析,而且要用逆向思维。“物极必反,回归平均是几乎所有市场长期投资的特征。”做长线投资时,一定要避免受时尚潮流影响。在投资过程中,耐心非常重要。

  市场就像战场,大部分时间是拉锯,斩将夺旗的时机并不经常出现。因此主力资金必须匍匐前进,先求自保,在对峙中蓄积力量。他说,在他12年的交易生涯中,遇到的重大机会不到20个,而抓住的则不到10个。“一旦机会出现,必须全力以赴。”

  一般的投资者很难对市场做出客观、准确的判断。如果跟风华尔街,大都会招致失败。因此,不管是职业或是业余的投资者,都必须有个健康的心态,不能希图一夜暴富。一个基金经理在市场上如果总是想着自己的奖金,投资一定做不好。“这就像一个在战壕里的士兵,心中老是想着回去升官领赏,结果一定是阵亡。”

  蒋明说,他和江平认识许多年,“过去我们是邻居”。他认为,江平的独特之处是他具有独立思维和逆向思维。“他的观点和别人的观点不太一样。”例如,在网络泡沫时,大家都去买,江平却很担心。“我认识很多人在这方面亏钱,他却没有。”

  蒋明认为,江平的另一个特点是,“他能够在大的市场变化中抓住机会,能够在市场的改变中赚钱。”基金经理很多,但是其它人都是只做自己熟悉的一块,但是江平投资范围较广。2005年,中国股市升起前期,江平在赛克大举投资中国股市,从中赚了很多钱。

  江平现在的投资团队有20人,“团队以中国大陆留学生为主”。他们分别在纽约和上海两个地方办公,在全球范围内投资股票、债券、外汇和石油等。而他自己则侧重于国与国、行业与行业等宏观比较。他牢记自己的信念,只有一线的将领最了解战局的变化。“尽管我侧重在战略布局,但是有时仍然亲自操盘。”他认为,“为将者需要身先士卒”。

  投资误区 值得注意

  华尔街被全世界投资者视为圣地,但是,江平却提醒投资者对华尔街要保持警惕。“他们推荐的买进卖出有时是根据自身的利益而定。”“他们对看好的投资公开宣称‘不值得投资’。例如,华尔街压低中国银行业的价值,却趁此机会悄悄地大量进仓,最后获取暴利。”

  不久前,全美华人金融协会举行年会,邀请江平发表专题演讲。江平在演讲中,提到几个潜在的投资误区,其中之一就是“高质量债券”。华尔街经过包装,将一些垃圾债券评为 “AAA级债券”,诱使人们购买。结果,中港台不少投资者因缺乏经验而上当受骗。他估计华人损失金额可能超过百亿元,“令人痛心”。

  他认为,华尔街为了自己的利益可以改变态度。例如,它过去看淡中国石油行业。但是,在股神巴菲特将几十亿美元的中国石油股票出手给华尔街的经纪人后,有些人一反常态,强力推荐中国能源业,就是想以更高的价格出手给投资者。

  投资外币需要谨慎。在2001年和2002年间,美元处在由强转弱的关键时刻。“我因为做空美元、做多欧元,直接促成这一转变。”但是,他现在并不看好七国集团的货币,如欧元和日元等,因为它们的价值已经高估。

  他指出,不少新兴国家的股票也是陷阱。过去,新兴市场的交易员在华尔街属于“二等公民”,现在却炙手可热。同时,新兴国家股票也大受华尔街吹捧。例如,维雷洛能源 (Valero Energy)是美国最大的炼油公司,每天炼油近三百万桶,市值只有350亿美元,市盈率为8。而印度炼油公司“信任”每天处理65万桶原油,市值却超过 1千亿美元,市盈率超过34。华尔街现在强烈推荐买进印度股票,其意不言自明。

  五年前,新兴国家市值远远低于发达国家,投资价值很高,但华尔街却告诉人们不要买新兴国家的股票。因此,他认为,投资者要有自己的独立思考,不要跟着华尔街起舞,只有这样,才不会上当受骗。

  注重家庭 不忘旧恩

  作为一个掌控十几亿美元投资的基金经理,江平每天工作相当紧张。他说,刚开始工作时,他想的都是做好工作,安顿好家庭,奖金拿得很少。“我们全家都节俭惯了,收入基本够用。”事业的发展完全顺其自然,并未强求。

  现在,他每天早晨4时前起床,然后向亚洲打电话了解全球市场动态。其后,他开始打太极拳,6时进入公司开始工作。中午,他大都回家休息一下,再去工作。晚饭后的7时至9时,他开始亚洲市场的工作。他说,自己“每天只睡4个半小时,但精力却很充沛”。

  他极为重视家庭生活。他说,“最高兴的就是全家坐在一起吃晚餐”。在周末,他一天陪家人,一天要工作。“我还要送一对儿女去中文学校。”江平在中国和太太相识,两人感情一直很好。

  江平说,他非常惦记自己的父母,“每年都要回国探望两老”。他的父亲因长期抽烟而导致咳嗽,他就设法使父亲戒烟。“我们劝说失败后,就让儿子女儿上阵,结果使他戒烟成功。”他安排退休的父母住在上海,并亲自挑选保姆。“我还让保姆学习老年保健知识,以便更好照顾他们。”

  江平是江苏省靖江县人。靖江过去隶属扬州市,现在划归泰州市。1978年,不到13岁的江平来到扬州中学住校读高中。1981年,他以扬州地区高考状元进入中国科技大学化学系读书。1989年,他来到美国普林斯顿大学攻读化学博士学位,以后改学金融,由此踏上金融行业。“但是,扬中的三年是我迈向人生的一个起点。”

  今年是扬州中学建校一百周年。他应邀写了一篇题为“三度春秋,一生感动”的文章,发表在该校校报上。他在文章中说,他如今已年过不惑,家庭幸福,事业有成。“每当夜深人静,我回顾人生,深感在扬中三年之所得,为我后来学习和工作打下坚实的基础。”今年,他为母校捐赠一百万美元设立“扬中教育基金会”,以奖励优秀的教师和学生。

  事业之舟 即将启航

  江平说,自己从小受到父母关爱。“我小学、中学都很受老师重视,以前总认为是因为自己比较聪明。”现在,他则认为这是因为自己幸运。他说,过去是为生活而拼搏,现在是为事业而工作的时候了。“我现在有种使命感。”

  他很佩服创立指数基金的包格(John Bogle)先生。在包格初创指数基金时,华尔街出于自身利益,对他大加嘲讽。但是,他创立的先锋基金成为美国第二大基金,其基金不仅收费低廉,而且回报超过九成共同基金。“他的收入不是最高,但他为投资者做了好事,令人起敬。”

  江平在华尔街摸爬滚打十多年,对投资行业了如指掌。他说,目前法律对共同基金限制太死,许多项目不能投资。而对冲基金又太追求短期行为,且收费太高。“他们赚了钱分红,亏了钱就由投资者承担。”因此,他想改变这一现状。

  其设想是创立一个新型基金,“这种基金将把投资者放在第一位”。他说,该基金不受传统共同基金的限制,可以发挥他的团队全球宏观分析研究方面的优势。“我们将在最具投资价值的国家,挑选具有长期高回报的股票、债券、货币及期货,既做多,也做空,适度利用杠杆作用,也利用金融衍生品进行对冲。”但是,该基金的杠杆作用将远远低于一般的对冲基金。

  更重要的是,“我们不会像大多数对冲基金那样追求最大短期回报”。他说,少数对冲基金为了提高自己的分成,甚至不惜在年终时操纵市场,虚报业绩。他的新型基金将把业绩存放在一旁,“等到几年后才兑现”。如果投资失败,这些存在一旁的业绩将按比率返还给投资者。

  他说,目前世界上尚未存在这样的基金,因为这对基金经理没有好处。他说,世界上有能力而又甘于开创这一类基金的人不多,他愿成为一个先行者。他期望与科亨合作,在世界范围内寻找投资者,共同创立这一新型基金,“实现我的最大梦想”。

The consultant responsibilities will be:
Meet the project manager to better understand the development goals.
Read and understand the development standards and procedures of the project.
Participate in team meetings.
Participate in the development of the design documents.
Support the other programmers in the implementation of the development standards and procedures.
Develop modules using the standard tools and techniques.
Develop high level and detail design documents to be used by the developers.
Write test cases for each module developed according to the standards.
Add appropriate comments within the code.
Perform builds, deploy and test the application.

Must Have Skills: Experience developing J2EE Applications (5 - 7 years)
Experience developing web based applications with Hibernate (2 - 4 years)
GOC Security Clearance (Mandatory)


Nice To Have Skills: The ideal candidate may also possess experience with Spring, Maven and AGILE development methodology.

Description: Our valued client has an immediate need for a Project Manager for a four month contract with a large possibily of extension.

The Project Manager will be required to manage and coordinate the development and implementation of priority projects/programs, with multiple work streams, in support of the client's mandate. In particular, this resource will be responsible for the management of the client's BI Rationalization (Back End) project.

Supporting and managing all aspects of the project/program using the client's formal Project Management Methodology.

Manage the project/program’s resources effectively
