2011-07-04 : 长周末刚从Osoyoos和Kelowna一线玩回来,樱桃现在主要是Oliver到Osoyoos一带比较成熟。我们摘了2家,一家红樱桃$1/磅,另一家黄樱桃$2/磅,黄樱桃更好吃。
提醒大家注意,印度人开的樱桃园不太厚道,一是开高价,可以试试跟他砍价。二是在过磅的时候装糊涂,把桶的重量也算在里面,可以先把樱桃装在塑料袋里称。还有就是没有四舍五入的说法,过一点点零头,都算成1磅,只按整数磅算银子。

很惊讶!你说的不会是我朋友的蓝莓园吧?他买了以后就任由其自生自灭,好在还有自动灌溉系统,要不那些蓝莓就更可怜了。我们每年都去摘,基本上去的都是认识的人,反正不摘也都烂掉了。那里没人管理,只要能找到的人都可以采摘。
去过No。4夹Fancis的那个蓝莓农场,还不错。

卑诗果园种樱桃青睐华市场

卑诗樱桃(又称车厘子)近年大力发展中国市场,有业界预计未来销售总额将达到4,000万元。有业界人士声称,巨大的中国市场令本地农民更有经济保障,不少果园特地由其他农产品改种樱桃。列治文市的一个樱桃园,九成採摘客人也是华裔,反映华裔对樱桃情有独钟。
列治文樱桃巷果园(Cherry Lane Farms)主人斯马特(Miles Smart),7年前从祖父手里继承该果园。他表示,作为本地为数不多的樱桃採摘地,农场一直以来深受华裔客人青睐,近九成来採摘的客人都是华裔。
採摘樱桃顾客 九成是华裔
虽然客人络绎不绝,但斯马特表示,今年果园经营却入不敷支:「因为上个月连续多日的低气温,樱桃收成比预期减少九成。但华裔顾客每天都达到近百人,30棵樱桃树本月初早已全部摘光。」
斯马特也知道樱桃在中国非常受欢迎:「很多华裔顾客告诉我,樱桃在中国视为奢侈品,而且多数樱桃从国外进口,所以价格不菲。」
据《温哥华太阳报》(Vancouver Sun)报道,本省农夫早已看准中国樱桃市场。去年出口樱桃价值4,200万元,其中近1,800万元樱桃运到香港,900万元到台湾,其他23个国家分摊其余的1,500万元。
加拿大联邦农业部长李熙杰(Gerry Ritz)上个月中旬到访中国,并与中国签署农业合作备忘录,预计到2014年对中国的樱桃出口将达1,000万元,未来5年将增加到2,000万元。
打入中国市场 经济较有保障
不过,卑诗鲜果种植者协会(BC Fruit Growers Association)会长杜克亚(Jeet Dukhia)认为,中国市场可能更广大,并预计中国每年有价值4千万元的市场。他说:「卑诗樱桃打入中国市场,让本省农民看到希望,也更有经济保障,所以樱桃种植也随之扩大。」
杜克亚又表示,卑诗省奥卡纳根(Okanagan)购买新农地的农民纷纷选择种植樱桃,而非苹果或桃子,一些果园甚至从其他农产品改为种植樱桃。
好味樱桃但难种
樱桃外形鲜艳光亮,果肉甜美多汁,备受民众欢迎。但古语有云:「樱桃好吃树难栽」,列治文樱桃巷果园主人斯马特说,种植樱桃需要恰到好处的阳光和雨水,卑诗内陆奥卡纳根地区,就是省内樱桃生长的最佳环境。
最佳产地 卑诗果园奥卡纳根
斯马特形容樱桃是「娇生惯养」,既要一定的雨水量,又需得到充足阳光。今年该农场樱桃收成减少就是因为6月气温过低,导致大量樱桃无法在最后成熟期获得足够的阳光。 160.ca,加拿大家园
他说:「看到5月的阳光,我还以为今年收益能到5千元,但看到6月连续多日的阴天,加上几次大雨,我就彻底失望了,30棵樱桃树最后剩下5百元左右的利润。」
斯马特又表示,樱桃生长的最佳环境,要数卑诗内陆地区奥卡纳根。
常年阳光普照的奥卡纳根因为盛产新鲜水果,又称为「卑诗果园」,尤其是7月至9月间,包括樱桃、葡萄、水蜜桃、苹果等水果,产量丰富。

來之前需注意的事项:最好穿长袖长裤运动鞋去摘,尽量避免穿裙子,否则会被蚊子或其他虫类叮咬。
这里比较近,有没有最低限制,孩子也让去,是我们想去的,可是电话一直联系不上,前几天晚8点自己去了。结果一看还是mei人,只有一个房客告诉我们有称有盒子,自己来。然后走去蓝莓地里,那个草实在太多,都不太好走了,刚进去几步,居然看到好几个老鼠,几个往地深处逃去,一个还不走,吓的我,赶紧走。这家主人要好好收拾一下了,要不然田会不会荒废了?不懂。

这些虽然恶劣,我们硬着头皮去了。谁知道带我们到田里,给我们指了两株蓝莓树,要我们一人摘一棵树,不能摘其他树。我听了这话很生气,但是没发作,也没摘,就想转一转,看看蓝莓的长势。 刚刚走开指定给我们的树不到0.5米,就被场主呵斥,不要离开他指定的树。我们当时很生气,马上就离开了。各位想摘蓝莓的尽量避免这一家。

buenaventura : 周五去的,2元一磅,买和自己采是一个价格,农场主是印度人,直接开皮卡带你进去(全部是灰),蓝莓不算大,要自己慢慢挑,差不多4个人采了1个小时10磅正好20元(桶还算分量)。进去门口写了最低消费哦~一人必须五磅,我们询问了以后说10-15磅四个人OK。但是不能采太少哦~

cloud_zhou :Langley的Driediger 农场千万不要去,U-pick蓝莓每磅要3刀,而且必须要用他们家的桶采,每个桶要卖你4块钱,最后称重的时候还不扣除桶的重量。最可恶的是管理农场的经理态度恶劣。

好像今年去早了,蓝莓一半青一半蓝,比往年大但感觉没往年甜,估计还没熟透的缘故吧?不过至少比超市买的新鲜

蓝莓涨价了,2.5一磅,也没写磅数要求,估计多少都这个价。去的人多车多。与往年不同,今年采蓝莓还得坐shuttle bus。排队上了辆用旧校车改的shuttle,开了约三分钟到了地方,原来是到了另外一片农场,我好像有点明白为什么涨价了。有人引导到地里,每家人限制在半垄地里面,不能越过有小旗子标志的界限(我们去的早是这样,等我们约11:30摘完出来等回去的shuttle时,听引导的人给新到的家庭分配是两家分半垄,一家採左边的,一家採右边的)。蓝莓普遍比较小,很难找到大过拇指盖的,甜度还可以。因为不好找所以影响采摘速度,而且也晒,我们大概一共摘了四磅就撤了。
再说孩子爱吃的蓝莓派。因为人多,光排队就等了超过半小时,每份9.5元一张waffle上面堆了一把蓝莓再浇上奶油。里面的餐桌全满员,外面的露台上也很难找到有阴凉的座位。在另外一个porch里卖corn pizza,薯条,饮料,冰淇淋什么的,也是排长队,看着就头大,没去。
估计我以后不会来这个农场了。

再说孩子爱吃的蓝莓派。因为人多,光排队就等了超过半小时,每份9.5元一张waffle上面堆了一把蓝莓再浇上奶油。里面的餐桌全满员,外面的露台上也很难找到有阴凉的座位。在另外一个porch里卖corn pizza,薯条,饮料,冰淇淋什么的,也是排长队,看着就头大,没去。
估计我以后不会来这个农场了。

你摘的真的很大。他家蓝莓真是可以了,有的蓝莓我吃多了倒牙他家的没有。还指定区域啊?蓝莓很难大过拇指盖?还2.5刀一磅,那实在是不值,以后不去也罢。
韩国人的农场确实不错,诺大的蓝莓园随便跑。采蓝莓那天不知道是不是我采累了所以觉得蓝莓不够甜。第二天早上我起来又去吃蓝莓,一颗颗都很甜,一把一把往嘴里塞,太好吃了。采蓝莓的时候,我基本上都是蹲在蓝莓树底下,往上看找人家漏采的大颗蓝莓,所以颗颗都蛮大,照片上盘子里有颗蓝莓就是放在一枚2毛5硬币上的,比指甲盖大多了。分了一些蓝莓给朋友尝,下面有她反馈的截图,高度评价了我的蓝莓

哇这个蓝莓看上去又大又新鲜农场每天早上9点半开门,昨天我们一开门就去了。农场貌似没韩国那家大,但蓝莓个个大,一串串象葡萄似的,我们不是一个个采的,而是一串串撸的,我们一家一个小时就采了25磅,朋友家也采了20磅,仍旧一块一磅,很划算。浏览附件504411浏览附件504410

我们昨天去了cascade falls,瀑布感觉一般,但野餐桌边上的溪水真的是十分清亮。7号高速一路向东,路上特意停车观察了那片野生板栗林,硕大的板栗树上满是稚嫩的果球,三文鱼回家时它们就该成熟了。没想到跟1号高速隔河相望的7号公路有很长一段居然也是限速100公里,没什么人,开起来很爽。hope的那个隧道风景确实不错,大家都说要在国内圈起来直接就可以卖门票了浏览附件504414浏览附件504413浏览附件504417浏览附件504412浏览附件504415浏览附件504416

今天还行,睡了个回笼觉,在家健身各种姿势鼓捣五百下,洗完澡去麦当劳买了两个汉堡吃了,舒舒服服地躺沙发上看电视,
