Position: Build Service Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA USA
Salary Range: Negotiable
As a Build Service Engineer the person will be responsible for:
- Managing daily builds and sustaining customer released builds
- Managing builds include running, monitoring and troubleshooting our processes as well as driving all build issues to resolution in a timely manner.
- Working with Build Engineering team in designing, developing, debugging, testing, maintaining and improving the over Build systems.
- Cross-group interaction with developers, testers, program managers, and other groups or individuals which may have conflicting goals, schedules and demands.
- Perform mission critical tasks to support the development life cycle, including creating new branches, adding users and groups, assigning permissions to code lines, and performing backups of the source control system. Also configuration management and source control operations.
- Provide support to Engineering teams for various projects
- Prioritize multiple tasks based on project, urgency, etc.
- Coordinate tasks across multiple sites per project.
- Team-based development experience and familiarity with source code tools/process, bug tracking, code reviews, and other common development activities.
- Manages own work to meet schedule and communicates regularly on progress.
- Documentation of known issues associated with the Build processes.
- Investigating and diagnosing problems affecting build
Technical/Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Minimum of 3 years build experience (value add if it is RAZZLE, or CoreXT)
- Must fully understand entire build process including compiling and linking
- Expert with scripting specifically command/batch (can be Powershell, Batch, Perl or VBScript)
- Source Depot experience
- Must understand “Source Control System”
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
