English Bay now hiring​

We have one final hiring fair for the our English Bay before it opens.
This iconic location will be different than any other Cactus Club that you have experienced.​

We are still hiring for these positions:
Servers, Hostesses, Expediters, Prep-Cooks,
Line Cooks and Dishwashers.​

The hiring fair will be held Friday, January 13th and Saturday, January 14th from 10am-8pm
each day at the Coast Plaza Hotel (1763 Comox St) in the Guilford room, located on the Conference Level.​

这家餐厅的东西,吃一两次尚可,第三次就郁闷了.

不过,工作环境和报酬应该优于一般的餐厅.

According to some of my friends working at Cactus Club Café,
it seems that they do not need to share tips with hostesses, other staff or cooks.
Sometimes, they can get $200-$300 on a good night, plus tips and wages.
It’s a sweet place to work at. ---Amelia​

去过其他三家分店，应该对外型要求比较高。西温那家的waitress最赏心悦目。

一般有点名气的西式餐厅的服务员都是俊男美女的了，还要会调侃。有些美女很慧说话，本来不想点甜点的，看在那美女的份上都要点了。

还有一次我们在一家西餐吃饭，我的朋友开玩笑说：“你们的特调果汁是不是无限量续杯的？”
那美女服务员说：“只要你的钱包有无限量的$,那果汁就是无限量的。”
真是聪明的回答啊！

服务生确实都很漂亮，去过好几家都是这个印象。可是店内的环境就一般，主要到处都是大屏幕电视，狂放冰球比赛，太吵了！

蛇蝎美人 ：毛地黄 Foxglove

不知道从哪一年开始
前院凭空多了一支高杆挺拔的花卉
挂满一长串绚丽色彩风铃
两三年后又多了二十几株，自行繁衍

那是毛地黄，全株含有剧毒的蛇蝎美人
有人误当野菜吃了呕吐不断，住医院五天
检查血液里含有毛地黄素(Digoxin）
医生疑是自杀...(惨案详见二楼)

挖蛤蟆草，结果误食毛地黄，住院5天

上周六半夜，恶心、呕吐不停。我知道是挖的野菜出问题了。凌晨三点打911，救护车给送到了医院急诊。血液检查发现digoxin(地高辛，毛地黄），会损坏心脏功能。住院5天，刚出院。

刚才去挖野菜的地方查看（因为我只揪芯，叶片还在），就是蒲公英和蛤蟆草，怎么会出现毛地黄？而且我知道毛地黄有毒，但是我只认识毛地黄花，不知道毛地黄幼苗长什么样。现在还不是毛地黄开花的时候。

特此提醒大家：食用野菜有风险。反正我以后再也不吃了，代价太大了，浪费纳税人的钱，心痛不已。我以后会尽可能地去做义工补偿加拿大，一直到死。

当时以为呕吐出来就行了，没想到呕吐不停，完全虚脱了，才打911。

连续呕吐80次，想象一下多难受！一般呕吐超过3次，胃里就空了，就不好受了。住院，像坐牢一样，虽然医生、护士都很好。

住院期间，每天被验血大约6次。5天下来，抽血大约30次，胳膊上全是针眼。因为老是躺着不运动，每天肚子上要扎一针，不知道是什么?

Q : 吃了几棵毒成这样?
A : 我觉得也就是两、三个。这么毒。

Q : 楼主胆子太大了。
A : 是很过分，所以医院怀疑我是要自杀
