Student Counselor

Part-time
Mandate: Provide daily front-line support to international language students
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm (20 hours/week)
*Must be available to start at 7:50am on Mondays when there is a large intake of new students.
Responsibilities and duties include:

• Assist with student arrivals and orientation ("intake")
• Process student requests (e.g., upgrades/downgrades, change of program) and complaints
• Assist with school activities, info sessions, info tables, etc.
• Help maintain social media
• Interpretation and translation support (Mandarin, English, French)
• Provide additional support at Reception

Qualifications and skills:
Required:

• Language skills: Mandarin (native speaker), English (B2 minimum), French (B1 minimum). Please note that all final candidates will be required to complete a language test.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook.

Preferred: Experience working in education and/or the language study industry
