就在自由党全国代表大会否决对富人加税的同时，联邦新民主党NDP则在上周末全国代表大会上投票通过对百万富翁征收新的财产税提案，并宣布全国实行20元的最低工资。

据nationalpost报道，NDP领导人辛格Jagmeet Singh表示，该党致力于向富豪加税这使新民主党与自由党严格区分开来。他批评自由党“与最富有的人站在一边”。
据报道，NDP税收决议包括对加拿大年收入超过100万元的个人征收80％的边际税率，以及对“财富超过2000万元”的个人征收1％的税。NDP还提出对“大流行期间超额利润”征税，至少使现有税率翻一番。
辛格在大会上表示，超级富豪应该为我们的社会贡献出其应有的份额，以便我们可以有钱投资于我们需要的东西，例如包括心理健康，牙科保健、免费药物以及带薪病假在内的医疗保健。
NDP税收动议还呼吁关闭税收漏洞，并采取行动解决税收欺诈和避税天堂的问题，要求网络巨头支付应有的份额，如果他们没有在工作保护和创造就业等方面做出应有贡献就取消企业税收抵免。
NDP周末通过的其他决议还包括取消以营利为目的的长期护理院并将长期护理纳入全民医疗保健系统的一部分。
此次没有通过的决议是“废除亿万富翁”，即对所有超过10亿元的总财富征收100％的税。

In the early stages of World War II, the Communist Party of Canada was formally banned, and many of its leaders interned by[clarification needed] the Padlock Law.[5] After a major public campaign, the party was legally reorganized as the Labor-Progressive Party.

Rose ran as an Labor-Progressive candidate in a 1943 by-election in the federal riding of Cartier.[2] He won with 30% of the vote in a tight four-way race, beating David Lewis of the social democratic Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and two others. He was the first Communist Party MP elected in Canada -and the only one up to this time.

Rose was re-elected in the 1945 election with 40% of the vote. Most of the riding's immigrant Jewish population voted for Rose, who benefitted from the perception that the Soviet Union was the main hope for saving Europe's Jews from Hitler. Rose's main rival, Paul Massé, of the antiwar Bloc Populaire, who came second, was supported by most French-Canadians.

As a Member of Parliament, Rose proposed the first federal medicare legislation[1] and the first anti-hate legislation.[6]

有没有想过富豪跑了，生意也跑了。征税也要有礼有节。何况最低工资涨到20，很多小生意会很艰难，到时各位去餐馆吃饭打算付多少钱。NDP在阿省曾经有过机会，当年阿省经济已经不好了，NDP上台后增加了碳税，省政府还新招了不少员工，浪费了不少钱发工资。又搞了一个节约能源的项目，每个家庭可以申请，结果只是帮你换节能灯泡，肥了一帮与政府合作的公司

老马的学生分为两派，一派主张通过民主政治手段以和平的方式掌控资本主义，推行马克思主义，也就是初期北欧的社会民主党、恩格斯的第二国际，也被成为修正主义 - 北美左派学的是他们，同性婚姻、吸毒、安乐死合法都是从荷兰出来的，社会民主党现在北欧一统天下；另一派是主张暴力革命、阶级斗争，苏联后来的布尔什维克。

对这种显而易见的问题，一直考虑洋人怎么就能得出不同的结论，自己觉得有三：

一，华人大多数，特别是跟共和国同龄的一代人，反极左甚于反极右，因为在不断的政治运动中深受其害，从大跃进中早就知道此路不通。

二，华人的自然科学都比较好，有基本的常识。比如川普说消毒水能杀病毒，华人就算川粉，也没人真去喝，知道消毒水的成分不是强酸就是强碱，这是中学就学过的。自由党开始的发钱说，以华人的自然科学思维，就知道这是个不等式，没法实现的乌托邦。

三，自由党以四百多票对几十票通过乌托邦法案，要说这些人全没有数理逻辑的基本常识，我也不信。那这些人就是为了党派利益，无底线的欺骗，先拿下大选再说。
