我最欣赏的记者Elliotte Friedman在他的32 Thoughts节目里对此说的一段话，我深以为然：
I have seen it before, where I see one thing, people see something else. I have always remembered that something you are doing or saying is going to be interpreted diffrent ways by defferent people.
The one thing I really tried to learn is to recognize that not everybody sees the same thing as I do.
The gesture is interpreted and seen in a certain way and you can't use the excuse anymore of "I didn't mean it that way".

N word，黑人之间可以随便说，虽然很多黑人也不说。
天生眼睛小没什么，中国人用小眼睛的女孩做广告也不是自我歧视，更谈不上辱谁。
