Room Attendant (On-Call) ​

Duties include (but not limited to):​

- Dust furniture
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Make beds and change sheets
- Distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Stock linen closet
- Clean and polish kitchen & bathroom fixtures
- Pick up and empty trash containers
- Wash windows, walls and ceilings
- Clean changing rooms and showers
- Handle and report lost and found items
- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items
- Provide guests with basic information on facilities​

The successful candidate must be able to handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment,
complete repetitive and physically demanding tasks and display strong attention to detail.
Previous hospitality experience an asset.​

Duites and responsibilities will include:

* To clean assigned guest rooms, including washrooms and replenish linen
* To change and make guest room beds to hotel standards
* To sort and separate soiled linens
* To damp wipe and dust all furniture and artwork

* To separate and store all recyclables in the proper storage bins
* To clean and maintain linen closets
* Report maintenance issues to supervisors immediately

RESPONSIBILITIES:​

• Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to established standards.
• Organize and stock cleaning carts and organize linen closets on floors assigned.
• Complete accurately, and in a timely manner, any assigned paperwork.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
• Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
• Assist other housekeeping employees in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas.
• In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.​

QUALIFICATIONS:​

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must feel comfortable in speaking with guests and capable of helping them with information.
• A working knowledge of applicable sanitation standards.
• Must project a confident attitude and friendly personality.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different floors of the hotel on a timely basis
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.​

工会不是白加入的。每个月要从工资里扣工会费的。至于那百分百的福利么！每个月也是要扣几十块钱的。我年轻时刚来英文不好 做了三年多，其实这工作最繁重的不是铺床换床单 而是洗浴缸和浴墙。碰到玻璃淋浴房的 还要查干净玻璃 这活才是最累的。而且周末无休 。我做了三年就落下了职业病 我是右撇子 右手臂用力太多肩关节落下关节炎了。我做的时候才三十岁，正是我身体状况最好的时候。我那么年轻都落下病根，可见那些年纪比我长的人干这活了。我这病算是比较轻的职业病 ，以前好些同事腰都不好，我当初还以为是她们年纪太大的缘故。至于小费么多少还是有的，但不会太多淡季每月几十旺季就能上百。如果你工作的酒店房间可以喝酒的话，捡啤酒瓶卖倒是个不错的收入，以前下班后我就去把各个房间收刮下来的空啤酒瓶拿去买啤酒的店里换钱，那绝对比小费多的多。这活太幸苦，而且有点拿健康来换的意思，建议大家根据自己身体状况再决定要不要做。说句实话我觉得后来我去工厂打工，去餐厅端盘子都比这活轻巧点。
