我干过HOUSEKEEPING这个工作，在年轻的时候，真的很累人的，在国内一般只要做10-12间房间，已经是很快的速度了。

加拿大基础工作时薪的高低和劳动强度绝对成正比,即使有个别的,也被洋人把持着,做到老再介绍个自己人.

朋友曾看上邮局送信的活,一打听,一般人进不去.

其实这种labor活尝试一下也不错呀，之前因为很好奇饭店内厨是怎么运作的，也想体会下干labor的辛苦，尝试下不同的生活状态，就干了一个礼拜的kitchen helper，就是包括刷碗拉，倒垃圾什么的，确实挺累的，我也不是很壮的那种人，体育锻炼都不多，第一天觉得自己胳膊都快掉了，但是还是咬牙坚持了一周，因为那个是自己定的工作周期。这些工作在国内估计一辈子都没有可能有机会干，干这些纯体力活的时候，脑子里思维活跃极了，从小到大很多事情都被回想起来，非常有新鲜感，很解放身心，确实可成为对自己的一种历练和挑战~~最后离开那个工作的时候，心中充满了力量，会觉得自己其实满强大的，想想这么苦累的活都能应付，说明自己体力、耐力、忍受力都不错，起码比自己想像中的好，在工作期间，我对自己的人生价值有更深层次的认识，当再投入脑力劳动的时候，更有信心和冲劲~~

全部医保。免费看病，买药，中医按摩。
看牙100%报销。
年假两周。
外出度假时，可以在世界各地有关系的酒店（不止是打工这一家酒店）住宿打五折，就餐打五折（可带家属朋友）。
冬天工时少，可以申请EI。
员工退休时也有许多优惠。

这工作很累人的，特别容易伤腰腿，比洗碗还累。
我有一个朋友刚来温时做过，干了几个月quit了，说太累。

温哥华酒店福利真是好啊，我们酒店工作餐要收费的，2.5/餐，不过比外面FOOD COURT便宜又好吃。我在多伦多。

酒店和酒店也相差很多，我一个朋友在一个Delta酒店做过，没什么福利，因为他们也分full-time 和part-time的，有机会的话如果转为full-time（那个酒店有工会的，有人离职时可以补人，工会同意就可以）full-time的有配眼镜什么的福利，Part-time的没有，工会同意的前提下老板雇了一些part-time的，每人每周就19小时，不多不少，没有任何福利。当然，政府规定的vacation pay什么的还是有的。但是干活都是一样的，老板有时还打气说好好干，有人走时就给你转full-time。朋友说得到的小费不少，谁的房间里的就归谁。

Given the nature of the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier as a unique, boutique style property, a room attendant will provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in guest rooms, hallways and designated public areas, according to established Hotel Housekeeping Standards.​

Description of Duties:​

• Cleaning of the guestrooms include: making beds and changing sheets as required, dusting, vacuuming, placing furniture to its original position.

• Cleaning of the bathroom inside the guestrooms includes: cleaning all surfaces (horizontal and vertical), all sinks, taps, vanities, tubs, showers and walls and toilets.

• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, upholstered furniture and occasionally ceilings and vents.

• Wash doors, windows, walls and bathroom ceilings.

• Respond to guest requests, concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently.

• Perform any other job related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager / Supervisor.

• Keep work area stocked, organized and clean at all times as defined by the task list and cleaning schedules posted in the department.

• Ensure work areas and equipment are kept functional and orderly at all times, reporting any deficiencies as necessary. • Handle and report lost and found items.
