School District No. 38 (Richmond) provides the opportunity to work in a safe, clean, friendly and welcoming environment. This position will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of DDC systems). In addition, be responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, and customer interface, with a high level of complete technical competence while mentoring service technicians and mechanical technicians on building automation activities.

Grade 12 and completion of a 2 year Diploma in Controls Technology or Computer Science Degree from a recognized Institute or University plus three to five years’ experience troubleshooting complicated DDC building systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. We are also looking for someone with experience working with and thorough knowledge of Honeywell Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) and /or ESC Delta Orcaview building management system.

The rate of pay is $31.89 per hour plus benefits.

谢谢森林大哥的夸奖，还提供了很多关于社工方面的信息，真的很感谢。刚登陆的时候，到超市购物，看到人家说很流利的英语，都很羡慕的不得了，觉得自己有一天可以和他们一样就很满足了。虽然现在在西人店里工作，也没觉得自己英语有多好。看森林大哥这么热心的给大家提供信息，我就分享下自己找工作的经验吧，供想找到相关方面的朋友一点信息参考。
刚来的时候，英语也是不敢讲，就在ELSA上了几个月，本来在家园网上看了那么多成功的案例，觉得应该下定决心趁着年轻好好学一两年英语，再上个一年的college，再出来找工作。但迫于经济压力，学了两个月就找了个华人超市工作了，在那里当收银。当然众所周知，那家店的工作很辛苦，忙的时候感觉喘气都困难。当时在中侨有case manager，他建议我有点工作经验就好，可以再提高提高英语了。我在超市工作的时候，离我上学的地方近，所以当时就是早上上课，下午上班，英语一直没丢，当也没有专心去学。
之后在中侨上了2个月的带薪joboption program，很多人说中侨没用，但我觉得他们这样的机构不收你一分钱，而且是在帮助你，为什么不要呢。对于那些在找工作困境中的朋友可以去上这个，因为至少在全英的环境里锻炼你的英语，而且他们的鼓励会让你有信心去面对interview.之前我接电话都有问题，但通过那次培训，我敢去接一个telephone interview.虽然后来是我自己找到的工作，但我一直很感激他们。
很多超市现在都是online申请了，所以要随时关注他们的招聘信息。我当时申请了很多店，但就walmart给我打了电话，而且最后到那工作。沃尔玛是一个多元文化的超市，里面的人也是来自于世界各地的，很多co-worker都很nice。而且最重要的是它是个锻炼英语的好地方，我刚到那工作的时候，基本上是一问三不知型，那尴尬样就别提了。当开始总担心，像我这样的员工回答不了客人的问题，岂不是要遭到投诉，manager要找我谈话。但后来发现一切担心都是多余的，沃尔玛对员工很宽松，有的白人员工是很偷懒的，但就那样也在里面混着。华人和韩国人之类的语言不好，但很勤劳，他们manager也很懂得，所以有的岗位他们会倾向于找一些亚洲人。在那里呆了半年多，好多东西的英文名称都是客人教给我的。沃尔玛的企业文化很好，很喜欢那里，就是管理太宽松，还经常打折，所以到最后我经常怀疑他们到底怎么赚钱。（其实很推荐一点是，walmart有一条政策，就是比价原则。比如说你拿着superstore的flyer到沃尔玛去，说着个coffee marker在superstore卖49.99，而沃尔玛卖59.99，那么沃尔玛会按照49.99的价格卖给你。就是这一点，它敢给任何店竞争).
当然我现在已经不在沃尔玛工作了，是后来工作的职位体力活太累，对一个女孩来说，实在不能长期干下去。当还是很感谢有那段经历，找下一份工作就容易些。同时给要找这方面工作的朋友一点建议，沃尔玛在最近几年将在加拿大搞扩张计划，是要和进入加拿大市场的target竞争，所以工作机会还是有的。
不好意思，在森林大哥的楼上写了这么多。每个人到这里都有很长的路要走，我有时候都不知道我走的路到底对不对。看到别人一来就去上学，然后就找到专业工作，相比之下，我还在labor的道路上继续前进着，实在是惭愧。

人就是一个过程，你努力了，没有什么令你后悔的事情是最重要的，至于道路，人起跳的点不一样，高度自然不一样，没必要强求自己，

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, the successful candidate will be responsible for for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms as well as replenishing and invoicing of private bars according to the standards of the Pan Pacific Hotel. ​

The key responsibilities of the Room Attendant include but are not limited to:
• Cleans and supplies fourteen (14) rooms per day including all related private bar tasks.
• Be able to provide evening turn down service.
• Must meet performance standards on room inspection checklist; offers all assistance possible to guests.
• Maintains and reports defective equipment; maintains and keeps linen closet, cart and basket well-supplied.
• Ensures all chemicals are being employed to WHMIS standards.
• Checks for and turns in all Lost and Found items; reports damage or losses to maintenance or housekeeping.
• Removes Room Service trays from hallways.
• Notifies the Hotel Inventory System after each guest room has been cleaned.
• Performs other related duties as required.​

Qualifications and Technical Experience

• Previous hotel/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and safety standards.
• Proficient in English to articulate themselves professionally in guest interactions.
• Knowledge of "Back Safe" techniques.​
