If you meet the criteria, e.g. low income, without a car or the value of it is no more than $5,000, without a house or the value of it is no more than a reasonable price (perhaps $250,000), without more than $3,000 in your bank account, without a job or with a part-time job under 20 hours/week, then you can apply for a maximum 1-year free ESL program in Chinook, Bow valley, SAIT, MRT and receive funding (it's a gift, you don't have to repay it!!) from the government as well. The amount of funding is variable and based on how many people in your family.

EI is Employee Insureance, totally different from the funding.

Loan is clearly a debt to the government.

If you have any experience related to Gas, Oil, Pipe, you are welcome, popular and potential rich in Calgary.

I have no exact answer for this question. Sorry!!

Basically, if you couple's income exceeds $230/m, the funding will be automatically deducted by the gap. Therefore, if one of your families has full time job, no matter it is related to labor or profession or not, the chance to get funding is quite slim and limited.

如果所有条件符合, 申请上了funding, 这时候, 如果自己或者配偶, 每周超过20小时, 每个月超过230, 超出部分按75%扣除funding, 公式是这样:（Ｘ－２３０）＊７５％，直到把FUNDING生活费扣完，但是COVER学费.

funding是按家庭计算的, 2个人都读, 和一个人读, 都是一个家庭, 一家三口总共1309.

In fact, the government provides extra $390 for those whose child needs day care when receiving funding.

Pratically, day-care service may cost you around $550~$700/month; ie, you have to pay the gap.

I know there is another kind of governmental allowance with respect to day care for low income family which will cover all of your day-care cost; however, I have no idea of the detail.

Perhaps you may post another related question on this forum.

不能!

大家所说的funding是指学费+生活费. 是一体的, 生活费是浮动的, 从0~****.

如果不能申请funding, 就是说不能申请学费加生活费.

You can add credit to someone untill your credit reach a level high.

The studying time is 09:00am~03:00pm from Mon to Thur in Chinook right now.

I have no idea about the other college.

3. 每个人因个人、家庭条件不同（比如说每周工作小时的多少）而能申请到的FUNDING 数目也不同，有多有少，例如在爱城符合条件的单身可以申请到 718 刀/月，
4. 申请到FUNDING 以后还要交学费---学费是多少？ ，剩余的才是生活费
5. 毕业后拿到的证书是什么？
6. ESL 同ELSA 有什么区别？

2. Principally, funding covers the tuition, and living cost as well. Tuition is variable between each shcool.

3. There is no useful certificate which won't be recognized by other shcools for ESL program. However, if you are prone to take some profeessional programs in SAIT, or MRC, you have better to take the program that school provides. Just an English program, don't think too much. After taking ESL, there is still a long way to go.

Yes, funding is only applied in Alberta.
