ABOUT THE ROLE:
TMD is looking for an outstanding digital designer who will be responsible for the design of many varying types of content including websites, landing pages, social advertisements and infographics (static and interactive).
You will be required to assist and often lead in projects including the websites, email templates, HTML5 advertisements, creation of social media assets.
You must be able to troubleshoot issues quickly and to stay up-to-date on current and emerging technologies, standards, and trends, define scopes of work, document requirements into full project briefs, as well as track the status and deliverables of multiple projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end through wireframes and screen mock-ups
Work collaboratively with other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user-experience
Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce a brand’s style or voice
Assist in the build/updates of various websites
Provide insights and recommendations on user experience and accessibility
Perform quality assurance on sites across multiple devices, platforms and browsers
Stay on trend with all asset requirements and deliverables across social media platforms
Create assets for various social media advertisementsBuilding HTML5 advertisements
Resize of assets for different devices — tablet, mobile and web
Source images (stock photos and video footage)
Designing and building responsive HTML email templates
Support in population and distribution of email campaigns
Work on multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations
Deliver results under tight timelines
WHAT YOU HAVE:
Experience as a UI/UX web designer
Experience with design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, while also open to learning new tools and techniques
Experience creating wireframes using tools like Balsamiq, InVision, Slickplan or similar
Experience in creating concepts for various Social channels
Experience creating HTML5 ads
Working knowledge of HTML, PHP, JavaScript etc.
Knowledge on Search Engine Optimization best practices
Interest in continual learning and sharing of knowledge with others
Strong communication skills to collaborate with various team members and stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Design electronic and printed materials for advertising, publications, marketing event collaterals, websites, and other channels.
- Create and produce print-house ready PDFs, graphs, charts, thumbnail images and other design elements
- Conceptualize and design event flyers, advertisements, brochures, posters, and other exhibits/displays
- Coordinate and maintain a library of graphics, media, digital records, and other enterprise content
- Where necessary, write and edit marketing copy, web copy, etc.
- Degree related to Graphic Design
- 1-3 years’ design experience in an in-house creative department or design firm
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Mac platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with HTML & CSS and motion graphics a plus
- Well-versed in the latest graphic design methods, practices, techniques and associated principles
- Solid design and conceptual skills
- Knowledge of page layout and photographic requirements, printing/publishing procedures and standards
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback from superiors
- Effective deadline management and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate with local Centres across Canada
