关于C.E.T和P.Eng./EIT的区别,我问了下:
May I ask what is the difference between C.E.T./C.Tech. and EIT?
I am an EIT member, having a master of engineering degree from Canada and a bachelor of engineering degree outside Canada, which both are major in Civil engineering. At the same time, I have 8 years of civil engineer work experience outside Canada but no work experience inside Canada. I will definitely pursue a P.Eng. membership, but is there any advantage for me to apply for C.E.T./C.Tech.?
然后官方回邮件说了下:
Thank you for your e-mail.
You may have the advantage of completing the Internationally Educated Professional Practice Exam (IEPPE) to waive the Canadian experience requirement as you have completed foreign academics. However, this will be determined by the committee once you have applied for membership and documents have been submitted.
All OACETT members do have the benefit of having access to the Canadian Technical Employment Network (CTEN). This is a national job back which gives members access and jobs in Canada
Please note that C.Tech and C.E.T. are only certifications and not a license like P.Eng. license thru PEO.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Regards,
