最近有朋友问起夏令营的问题来，刚好我赋闲在家，给大家就再唠叨唠叨。因为我在另一个帖子里已经鼓吹很久了，所以也是懒得再次提起。再说我也不是托儿，义务为THE CITY OF CALGARY做广告了。

这个PROGRAM一提起来，朋友就会讲，谁谁跟他说过，自己还忙没办如何如何。就是每年拿三张免费动物园票如何如何。我就更懒得多说了。但还是说说吧！


Fee Assistance for Recreation Services

Fee Assistance is available for Calgary residents in financial need. Fee assistance provides a subsidy to participate in the following:
The City of Calgary​
  • Recreation programs​
  • Admissions to pools and fitness centres, leisure centres and golf courses​
Fee Assistance is accepted at following Fee Assistance Partners:​
  • Calgary Public Library 免费办证​
  • Calgary Rotary Challenger Park​
  • Calgary Zoo 家庭每人三张​
  • Cardel Place​
  • Fort Calgary​
  • Heritage Park​
  • Silver Springs Outdoor Pool​
  • South Fish Creek Recreation Association​
  • Talisman Centre​
  • TELUS World of Science - Calgary家庭成员每人免费一次​
  • V.R.R.I. Recreation Centre​
To be eligible for Fee Assistance customers must:
  1. Be a resident of Calgary at the time of application (proof of residency may be requested)
  2. Have a household income below the Statistics Canada Low-Income Cutoffs. Proof of financial eligibility must be provided. Click here for further information about financial eligibility requirements.

在这个网页右下角有DOWNLOAD字样，你可以下载申请表，也可以到移民服务中心取表。
申请的条件列的很清楚，因为我打不开PDF文件，大家自己看吧！

主要符合一条就可以，拿出一个例证，比如你有大眼睛卡，你有廉租房，或者你的NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT证明你是低收入？最后一个我记不太清了。你把你的材料复印加上申请表，提交给THE CITY OF CALGARY下的任一家游泳健身中心即可。怎么知道哪一家呢？上我链接的这个网查RECREATION。像SOUTHLAND LEISURE CENTER等即可。

怎么注册？

有朋友想给孩子参加夏令营或者平时参加什么PROGRAM，怎么报名呢？

当然低收入的朋友可以申请FEE ASSISTANCE CARD，参加PROGRAM可以付10%。没有补助的朋友当然也可以参加。因为有个朋友问我，说她没有补助还能参加吗？

报名的过程如下

Register now for Spring 2010 courses. Registration for swimming lessons is ongoing.

  • Browse current programs using the new Interactive Program Guide.
  • View a current programs in the Recreation Program Guide
    (4.8 MB).
  • View our Arts Centre programs in the Arts in the City Guide
    (603 KB).
Three ways to register:

  • Online registration begins at 5:30 a.m. on the first day of registration. 24 hours and 7 days a week after that.
  • Phone-in registration is available Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Get your Customer Card (with Family PIN number), personal bar code and the 6 digit course code numbers ready to register.
  • Walk-in registration will be available during regular facility operating hours.
  • Please Note: Revised Cancellation, Withdrawal and Transfer Policies changes are now in effect.

Please note: Arts Centres do not take walk-in registration.

网上有具体的夏令营啊，游泳班啊，画画，瑜伽等等班。你可以网上看，也可以在书馆、safeway、体育馆、TD SQUARE等等免费报刊摊位上找到。
报名看上一帖。等过程熟悉就可以在网上报。
大家给孩子报名体育PROGRAM,别忘留收据作为将来报税用。

YMCA Calgary wants everyone to have the opportunity to take part in its programs and enjoy its facilities and services. Financial assistance is available through the Opportunity Fund for those who feel they would benefit from joining the YMCA, but are financially unable, not unwilling, to pay the full membership and/or program and service fees. Applying for assistance is easy and confidential. The application process is explained below.

  • Take a free tour of the branch you're interested in. This is a great way to learn more about the YMCA including workout areas, schedules and programs.
  • After the tour, ask someone from Member Services to explain the interview process and give you the appropriate paperwork.
  • Attend an interview:
Interviews are available on a walk-in basis during certain times each week. Check your branch's schedule (below) to see when interviews are available, and drop in during one of those times. No appointment is required.

看来还是没有说明白。

你要持大眼睛卡申请FEE ASSISTANCE CARD。
拿FEE ASSISTANCE CARD 去游泳就打折了。不是拿大眼睛卡就能进游泳馆。

另外，低收入月票应该是只认NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT。你到7 AV那儿有详细说明。CITY OF CALGARY上也有详细说明。

你如果去年没有缴税的话，就没有退税。NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT你一年报会迟一点才会收到。

北方同学还是没弄清楚LZ的意思，大眼睛卡确实可以用来申请FEE ASSISTANT CARD，但不是向游泳馆出示，而是在填好市政部门的申请表后，附上大眼睛卡的复印件，作为低收入的证明，一起寄到市政部门，大约两周左右，市政部门会把 FEE ASSISTANT CARD 寄到你家了。偶家就是这么办理的。
然后呢，你就拿着FEE ASSISTANT CARD 带上老婆孩子去很多地方逛了。
