The shop I’d like to talk about is a small gift shop in the supermarket which is outside the community my flat is housed. It has only about 10 square meters selling lady’s accessories, paper products like greeting cards and notebooks, artworks with significant symbols of Chinese culture, and some funny and lovely gifts.
The shop owner is a graceful lady who is always smiling and doesn’t speak too much, no matter how long you stay in her shop, she never try to push you to buy anything, this is the reason I like to stop at her shop for window-shopping.
Once I found a gift box in her shop which had 3 key rings as a set, each key ring was a traditional Chinese clothes, the first was a cheongsam, the second was a Tang suit for man, the third was a pair of embroidery shoes, they were so cool and I was planning for a visit to our office in New York at that moment, they were exactly the best gifts which I was seeking for my American colleagues. In fact, my colleagues loved those key rings very much.
