After months of negotiation, the legislation introduced on May 24th, will grant a permanent authorization to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center Program. The legislation was co-sponsored in bipartisan form by Senator Patrick Leahy (Democrat-Vermont) and Senator Chuck Grassley (Republican-Iowa).
Earlier that week, Leahy secured a three year extension of the program during the Appropriations Committee’s consideration of the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill.
