已经收到美国常青藤的也在申请这个。 一般申请的都是早准备的孩子，毕竟一个高中只能提名一个。

看看周围洋人家的女孩子活泼开朗，有时还真为国人家的女孩子担忧。
其实女孩子应该多留点时间，打理自己，家长要多鼓励孩子追求幸福快乐的生活，比上那些名校要实际的多。不然一生的打拼，可能只是为别人做了嫁衣裳。

2. Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, B.A., Spec. Hons. Cognitive Science
尤其这第二个听起来那么“抽象” -- 认知科学？
（ Hons. -- 是哪个字的缩写 ？ Spec. -- 是哪个字的缩写？ ）
这孩子自己有主意，报了五所大学，报完所有学校后才告诉她妈，今天在一起吃饭
才在我的随意询问下告诉我她的目前的情况，“无意中”告诉我们她的上述录取情况。
在这里想问一下有经验的朋友：这两个专业学出来后是做什么具体工作？Job Market

What is especially exciting about cognitive science is its emphasis on interdisciplinary cooperation involving psychologists, philosophers, computer scientists, neuroscientists, anthropologists, biologists and linguists. Though researchers from each of these fields have long been studying the nature of thought, emotion, perception, memory, language and other aspects of cognition, cognitive science allows them to take advantage of the strengths and research in other disciplines. Different methodologies, intellectual histories and disciplinary divisions often isolate those with similar goals, and cognitive science aims to bring researchers back together. By approaching questions from a variety of perspectives, the cognitive scientist has a greater chance of finding answers to questions about cognition.

表姐的女儿去年上的Berkeley，学的Cognitive Science，但她的最终学位是B.S. 理学士学位，和你朋友孩子不同。近几年挺热门的。。。是个跨学科，综合的学科。需要学习心理学，计算机，神经科学，生物，语言等等课程。到大二，或大三再细分具体研究方向。应该是要读硕博，走研究方向。

You could also go on to graduate school or consider a related field such as medicine or kinesiology.
