另外, Halifax地区排名最高的公立高中是在Bedford的CPA (Charles P. Allen High), 网址http://www.cpa.ednet.ns.ca/. CPA 在全省高中排名第二. 第一是在Cape Breton 的一所学校. 要想上CPA 华人大多选择住South Gate一带, 这也是那一地区房价高的一个因素.
Halifax不止两所高中, 给楼主一个网站, 是Halifax Regional School Board (类似教育局)的, 上面有所有Halifax高中的名单.

非常感谢!实在是对哈市不太了解,看了那个类似教育局的网站,是发现很多高中,但是地址写着哈里法克斯就那两个。不知道到底那些算市区啊？没去过，也了解很少，所以很着急。看了AIMS主页，对里面的评比标准看不太懂，什么是RC6，RC5之类的？这缩写代表什么？CPA是在市区吗？其实我们决定不要住市中心，但太郊外了怕交通不方便。
再请教前辈~依旧先道N遍谢谢~

Halifax是有几个相连的社区共同组成的, 其中称为"Halifax"的只是其中之一. 当然市中心是在"Halifax"这个社区里面. 这跟北美的很多城市是类似的, 比如温哥华, 多伦多和纽约. 国内的例子比如武汉三镇.
组成Halifax的几个主要的社区分别是: Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, Tantallon, Kingswood 等等. 其中前三个离市中心(Downtown Halifax)不远. CPA 在Bedford.
Dalhousie University在Halifax市中心, 非交通高峰时间从Bedford中心(Downtown Bedford)开车或乘公交到Dalhousie要半小时左右, 高峰时间大约40分钟到一小时.

17-year-old boy appeared in court Thursday, a day after three staff members were assaulted at Citadel High School in Halifax.
The boy, whose name can’t be published, was released into his mother’s care on a $100 recognizance after he was charged with assault with a weapon and three counts each of assault and uttering threats.
The wiry, six-foot boy showed no emotion in Halifax youth court and was ordered to return on Nov. 13 to plead to the charges. He has also been ordered to stay 500 metres from the school and to have no contact with the alleged victims two vice-principals and a teacher and another boy, who can’t be identified.
The accused’s mother, father and grandmother were at the hearing but had no comment for reporters afterward.
At 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, a student who was already suspended entered Citadel High and allegedly punched two vice-principals and a teacher before running off. The teacher may have lost one or more teeth.
The boy, who is alleged to have struck one of the vice-principals with a metal thermos, turned himself in at Halifax Regional Police headquarters at 11:20 a.m. Thursday.
“He was with his parents,” Const. Jeff Carr said.
A spokeswoman for the Halifax regional school board said all three staff members were back at work Thursday. She said Citadel’s liaison officer and another police officer were at the school all day and two of the building’s three entrances are closed so that students can use only the main entrance for the time being.

Comparing the school report cards at http://www.aims.ca/reportcard.asp?c...=229&district3=26&school3=131&rc3=5&comp_gr=3 for Queen Elizabeth High School, St. Patrick's High School, and Halifax West High School (QEH and SPH combined to be current Citadel High School). Since CHS is a new school, there is no report for it yet.
Overall performace-School grade is B+, B+ and B for QEH, SPH and HWH, respectively.
Overall performace-School ranking among high schools in Atlantic region is 3, 7 and 13 for QEH, SPH and HWH, respectively.

非常谢谢.Halifax West High School似乎没什么优势.对于刚去人生地不熟的人来讲,还是要考虑交通的便利问题.再加有一个孩子在Dalhousie,离得最近的就是Citedal了.而Citedal又查不到任何的教学成绩记录.郁闷~
为孩子真是操心,又想离得近生活上好照顾,又想上个好点的学校,还要考虑到钱的问题.脑袋痛煞~
