亲戚代收到纸质信，要自己去取。时间是周二9:00am~12:00pm或周三12:00pm~3:00pm。没有指定哪一天，只说要尽快去取。我现在在国内，只能等5月份了。
另外，我觉得一家人中只有一人renew时要求自取的概率更大。

好像自取的有时效，超过某个期限卡就销毁了，至少你得给他们打电话说明一下自己不能去取还有何时能去，不然卡销毁了还得重新申请。

Probably. Most permanent residents in Canada replacing or renewing their PR card will receive it by mail. However, we may ask you to pick it up at a local CIC office. If you need to pick up your card, we will contact you to schedule an appointment. If you cannot go to your appointment, you can reschedule it with the local office. If you do not pick up your card within 180 days, we will destroy it and you will have to re-apply.

5月3日9点去取的，过程很简单，看了下护照，只问了些简单的问题，估计是核实一下申请材料。另外问了下目前的工作以及配偶的工作。
整个过程不到5分钟，办事人员还不错，没有为难什么的。

用我的经历告诉你就是CIC进度查询不怎么靠谱，我卡现在收到差不多快两周了，网上查询仍然In process。
