In my opinion, you brake disc and pads were worn, they all need to be replaced. You do not need to count on the 1mm difference. Regarding the sensors and bolts, I think the dealer follows the requirement of Benz.
When you have a dealer to do a brake job, they will replace discs and pads all the times.
First, they could charge more money on parts and labor. Second, if there is a brake problem, and the cause is discs, you will not be happy for doing the brake job over again.
Actually, although the thickness of the discs is still within the limitation, the discs will get rusted and warped at some spots during they are getting worn. Warped discs will cause brake shaking.
So, to avoid unnecessary disputation, dealers and shops always replace discs, pads and related parts at the same time.
I bought discs and pads for caravan at a dealer. My friend got them for me at employee prices of $760.00.
Nowadays, it is normal to cost around $2000 to have a brake job done in a dealer.
