Self-Isolation on Return to B.C.
Last Updated: April 8, 2020
All international travellers returning to B.C. are required by law to self-isolate for 14 days and complete a self-isolation plan
Self-isolation plans must be reviewed by provincial government officials before travellers can return home
Complete a Self-Isolation Plan
Your plan can either be:
Completed and submitted online before, or when, you arrive back in British Columbia
Completed and submitted using a paper form before, or when, you arrive back in British Columbia
We highly recommend completing and submitting the form online before you begin your travel back to British Columbia.
A self-isolation plan is a legal commitment to self-isolation, enforceable under the Public Health Act (and the federal Quarantine Act by the RCMP if applicable).
Your self-isolation plan must consider:
Symptoms
You can check your symptoms online or download the self-assessment app
The location of your 14-day self isolation
How you will travel to your isolation location
Arranging the necessary supports:
Food
Medications
Child care
Cleaning supplies
Pet care
Social or family support
Submit your self-isolation plan
Who Must Go Through the Assessment Process?
All international travellers returning to British Columbia.
