Ontario-
"Generally, nurses living elsewhere in Canada who can provide proof of current registration ... in another Canadian province or territory are eligible to register in Ontario without undergoing additional training, experience, testing or assessment. This applies to
all nurses currently registered elsewhere in Canada,
regardless of where they received their nursing education. "

English fluency
For New Brunswick & Quebec applicants
English fluency must be demonstrated prior to applying for registration with CRNBC. This can be met through one of the following:
- passing a required test of English fluency, or
- completing a four-year post secondary nursing program in English, or
- working as a registered nurse for 1,125 hours in an English-speaking environment.
Labour Mobility
Registered nurses and licensed graduate nurses currently registered
in another Canadian jurisdiction are eligible for registration in B.C. in accordance with the
Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) and the Trade Investment and
Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA).
- Applicants must demonstrate competence to practise, good character and fitness to engage in the practice of nursing, based on their registration in good standing in another Canadian jurisdiction.
- Provisional registration with CRNBC is no longer necessary for Canadian applicants who hold current practising registration in another Canadian jurisdiction. These applicants are eligible for practising registration in accordance with the AIT.
