Position Overview: The Desktop Support Analyst is the initial IT contact for all end-user support, responsible for the day to day support of the end-user community and their computer, peripheral, and telecommunications equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with other members of the IT team to support the installation, operation, and connectivity of common and industry-specific applications and systems, including the following:
o Windows Enterprise Desktop (Windows OS + MS Office)
o Hardware Support (Laptop, Desktop, Printers, Copiers, Fax, etc.)
o Telephony (Analog, PBX, and Cellular)
o Codesoft, LabelView, LabelArchive
o IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Symantec Backup Exec
o MAX, Dynamics, WebPlan, Agile, Lotus Notes
Coordinate with IT staff at all sites to support site-specific and company-wide issues and initiatives
Coordinate with all departments to support IT and business initiatives.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
Excellent communication skills, oral and written
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to lift and carry desktop computers and monitors, and help lift servers and similar equipment
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Post secondary degree / diploma / certificate in Information Technology or related area.
1 to 3 years of desktop support experience
General understanding of manufacturing processes
MCP, MCSE, A+ Certification or similar certification would be an asset.
