多大工程系也有co-op的，不过不像滑铁卢每年暑假去实习，而是3年级完成以后去实习整一年，回来继续上四年级，所以也是5年毕业。不过多大的co-op不是强制性的，学生自己自愿报名。Electrical Eng.的应该也不难找实习单位，应该7-8成学生能找到co-op,平均年薪4万5.

Who told you 7-8成 in U of T Electrical Engineeing could find
PEY( They called Professional Experience Year)...
I knew a lot of these students during my Coop, they told a lot
of their classmates did not get the PEY not they don't want to.
But Waterloo, it is way much easier to get Coops. Waterloo is the first university in Canada introduced the Coop, so if you really want to get a job after graduation, go for Waterloo.

多大，滑铁卢都好，以上各位的意见只是建立在自己孩子在读的学校选择，代表不了什么，还是让孩子自己选吧。觉得吧。。选多大的还是因为它的名气大有关系

A lot of the Engineers that I knew in my companies, they graduated from U of T 's EE, they got their Master of EE in Waterloo. That's another point that after they got their bachelor studies, they believe Waterloo is better...Especially for career, not for research...To be honest, how many people would require in research field, and how many people can take the research job for their entire life?

You just need to count the number of professors worldwide

因此可以选择其他科目(aerospace etc)

If you really believe that you can be a professor in the university or even college, go ahead and good luck.
If you don't talk to enough people but just by the numbers you count, you will never know the truth.
It's like the lottery, there are always people who win over 10 million, could you be the one?
How many professors position compare to the masters and PHDs in school and every year the Masters and PHDs are increasing but the professor position you have to wait until someone else retired.

据说做教授是不容易，立场要跟学术权威的步调一致，各学院都有自己的精神衣钵传承，僧多粥少，筛选考量挺复杂的。
