关于这个卡税。我一直不大清楚。如果是三口之家，免税额度大概是24000（2*11000+2000）加币。那么我的taxable income 是40000加币。我按照网上介绍的算了一下40000加币应该卡税的额度是26%左右（联邦加省的）。这样每个月还有4400加币。为什么和你们说的差距这么远？望告知，谢谢！

还要扣失业保险， 养老保险什么的。年薪75k上下，差不多每月4400.

Thanks a lot for your message! It is really helpful. The position is a faculty position from the university. The HR clearly stated some benefits including i have more than 40 holidays a year.

About the "Permanent appointement", when I asked the HR whether the appointment is a tenure-track or a tenured one, she told me "we are offering you a permanent Faculty appointment". It seems she did not mean it was a permanent position but a permanent appointment. Anyway,
I will send her a mail to ask what it exactly means.

64的話到手也就差不多1700，1800（每兩周或半月）租个兩房大概1200到1800之間，二手車除非向銀行申請Line of credit, 按月供,否則lease 新車反而可以以8年按月付來降低付款金額, 而且利息比line of credit 還低很多......如果就一份收入的確緊點ㄦ。最好擬个財務計畫，並記帳。

这个职位裁撤很厉害吗？那permanent的具体含义是什么？与tenure-track 之类的有什么区别？

Good for you. It is not easy for a Ph.D. to find a decent job in Canada even if you got your Ph.D. in Canada or US, but it is a lot easier to get a job if you have a BCIT diploma.

If it is a tenure-track position like assistant prof., even if they tell you the starting salary is 64K, don't worry, you'll get 100k+ and you'll be promoted to associate prof. in less than 5 years, and once you get the tenure (shouldn't be a problem for most of the tenure-track faculties), it really is a permanent position, you can work until you're retired if you want.
if it is a technician position, the position should be safe (you don't need to worry about layoff) but you won't get much raise for your salary.
Just wondering is it a TEM-SEM technician position in 4D labs SFU, I know they ordered a few TEM and were looking for a nanoimaging technician to take care of them.

Faculty的position有很多种，你是哪个ranking？
就是入门级别的lecturer，64k一年真的很低了，不过不知道你是哪个学校
而且hr的回答也很奇怪，这边说faculty position都是用tenure track来描述铁饭碗的，为什么她没有正面回答你呢？
