请教房客如果长期不在，怎莫算房租

请教一下，我的房客可能回国一段时间，比如说半年，给他的房租怎默算。我不想吃亏，也不想占便宜，只是想按常规办事，谁知道呀？

Sometimes, the landlord asks for half the rent for student for summer vocation as they normally do not live in the house. This might serve as a reference.

Of course it is accepted that the landlord charge full so long as the room is rented to sb no matter he lives there nor not.
