They are looking for experienced RTL designers to work onsite in their Richmond, B.C. office. This position involves all activities required for ASIC design. Creativity and proven industry experience will be the key, as each project will come with its own challenges and new technology implementations.
Job Description
ASIC RTL Designers - Full-Time and Contract Positions
Our client works closely with their worldwide sales and marketing teams to develop ASIC’s targeting automotive and low power mobile applications; their proven success in these areas requires innovative and unique solutions that address customers’ needs. You will be working with a group of experienced ASIC engineers as well as a solid team of software and board level designers.
A significant challenge in this position is to be able to efficiently design for high speed, low gate count and low power. As an ASIC designer you will be working closely with our design and backend teams overseas.
You should be able to contribute at any level within the digital ASIC design process. Some knowledge of backend silicon fabrication could also be helpful but not essential. They are looking for individuals who are experienced with digital ASIC design including: ASIC RTL block design, block testing, top level design, top level simulation, documentation.... You may be asked to develop FPGA implementations of the ASIC under design for validation and demo purposes.
Due to export restrictions you must already be a Canadian Citizen or have Permanent Resident status in Canada. No relocation expenses will be covered.
Qualifications
Required:
* 5+ years RTL design industry
* RTL design, Verilog, ASIC experience
* Working knowledge of ASIC design flow and tools
* FPGA experience
* Self-motivated, ability to take ownership of a design with minimal supervision
* Ability to write and implement a test plan for module level and chip level designs
* Solid debugging/problem solving skills
* Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Nice to have:
* Orcad schematic design experience
* Experience managing PCB design and assembly contractors
* Python experience
* C/C++ programming experience
* Display controller design experience
