根据CP24报道，无症状的安大略人将能够在本周末在指定药房接受COVID-19病毒检测。省政府希望通过此举扩大测试范围并减少测试中心检测者等待时间过长的问题。

安省省长道格·福特（Doug Ford）说，将有多达60家药店可以在预约后提供COVID-19检测。并且，将有更多药房在未来几周内提供测试。
福特说：“我们需要像注射流感疫苗一样，使获得COVID-19测试变得更加容易。接种流感疫苗很容易，我们必须确保进行COVID测试同样容易。”

同时，多伦多的三所医院：Women's College，Mount Sinai 和 Toronto Western Hospital 也将在本周开始在其测试中心提供唾液检测的方式。
