电话fido, fido说毫无办法,必须自己打那个877的电话问原因和取消service. 俺吼:没有俺的授权/定购服务,这家公司如何会来charge俺,something wrong with your fido...

fido坚决不承认,说是只有两种情况下,会被charge, 一是手机订购了这家的 service,或者在电脑上注册定购。俺坚决否认定购一说,fido说没有办法,这类complain不少,也反映给CRTC, 但CRTC认可这些公司为合法经营。

按照单子上的877电话打过去,被告知打另一个电话:1-877-402-3687,再打,无人接听,留言,无人回复。。。

上网搜,发现有其他人也被这家公司SCAM,按网上的提示,发了短信STOP到23687,也不知取消了没有。。

转回头,上了CRTC的网站, 提交了COMPLAIN FORM。倒是要看看CRTC如何处理。。。

The CRTC doesn't regulate text messaging. The CRTC also does not regulate the rates, quality of service or business practices of wireless service providers. Cellular telephone subscribers who have complaints about their service should contact their provider directly. It has also been suggested that you text STOP to the sender and in many cases that may take care of it. With the proposed legislation's technology-neutral approach, all forms of commercial electronic messages can be treated the same way. That means that unsolicited text messages, or cellphone spam, will be addressed.

SendMe and SoLow Mobile Services obtains a person's cell phone number in this manner:

They advertise a free IQ test. After taking the test they ask for your cell phone number to text the results of the IQ test. BAMMMM! They've got your phone number and immediately subscribe you to content. They ask you to text a message "STOP" to discontinue service. I ignored the messages as SPAM. A charge of $9.99 appears on my bill.

It seems that one is deceived into submitting a cell phone number to a content provide who immediately begins billing you $9.99 a month with these online "tests".

By the way, I never got my IQ test result. I can see now that I must be a total idiot.

如此说来他们确实是合法经营。我猜他们要求用户提供手机号的时候也会用很小的字标明是收费服务,只是用户一般都不看那些agreement。

那到底是怎么注册的?能不能让fido提供注册的证明?如何查到1-877-402-2387是哪家公司注册的?411.ca/.com上找不到。
fido帐单上有thirty party公司名和电话。并且文字说明,对thirty party service有异议,打thirty party电话。

看来,fido是见多这些scam了。。。

这个可能只是一种手段。

俺的case, 可以说,没可能被text进去。

fido帐单上显示thrid party service发生在2月13日,周日,那天俺刚回到温哥华(在国内用移动的),这个fido手机那天就没用过。
