首先，你们都莫说到bail的这个最常用的意思：保释金。开始，俺以为俺对bail out的理解有误了呢。俺的bail out是基于对保释金bail的理解。
查鸟若干个词典之后，俺的印象是，bail out 和 bailout 确有区别，而且这个区别还不仅是在词性上。bail有勺的意思，bail out可以特指将水从船体中舀出去。而bailout，几个词典给出的第一或者唯一的解释就是政府出资拯救公司。所以，看来这个名词化bail out, 比动词的意义更窄一些。
撒老师说bail out都是脱责的意思，俺以为说都是摆脱困境或者险情更好些。比如，跳伞的例子，演员中止某个拍片项目的例子，其意思不在逃脱责任，而在于逃离不好的情况，这和bail out的原意，交保释金以免受即刻牢狱之苦的意思一致。
