I think it's human nature that parents try their best for the best possible outcome.
My parents did their best to send me to the best school in town and I did learn a lot over there. Although lots of my classmates were from the families of the top richest or very successful people, I never felt bad for my low social status; On the other hand, I did appreciate their effort for doing this... It was a good experience with good influence from the teachers classmates and friends there. I've been proud of a graduate from my schools as well as my parents have been.
And yes, we all know that a good school doesn't mean definite success. The future of our kids are in their hands, not parents'. Do you best to assist your kids, but still, let them be themselves and learn from life.
