呵呵,我没有否认阿拉伯人传播这个数字系统的贡献。。。

我的逻辑很清晰了,和你明显不一个频道,就不讨论了。。

这只是个插曲,一段知识探讨而已,俺意见与撒哥一样,有没有贡献,都不是问题的重点。。。
我主要是证明Grace的说法错误。带着有色眼镜看伊斯兰经典能看出名堂来吗?

你这些只能证明山中的话,阿拉伯数字是印度人,确切地说,古印度(巴基斯坦+印度+其他周边区域)人发明的。。

只有证明古印度人是阿拉伯人,才能说阿拉伯数字是阿拉伯人发明的吧。。查一下阿拉伯数字出现的时间,和阿拉伯人进入印度的时间,伊斯兰教进入印度历史,自然有结论了。。。

阿拉伯数字是西方语言或欧洲形式的印度-阿拉伯数字印度-阿拉伯数字系统是由古代印度的婆罗米人发明,后经由阿拉伯传入西方。很多语言都引用了此系统,但是都根据自己语言的字体要求而改造,所以实际上现在有很多种被称为“阿拉伯数字”数字字符。此条目是关于汉语里通称的“阿拉伯数字”,也是当代世界最通用的阿拉伯数字,也就是欧洲文字所改造的印度-阿拉伯数字。

现代所称的阿拉伯数字以十进制为基础,采用0123456789共10个计数符号。采取位值法,高位在左,低位在右,从左往右书写。借助一些简单的数学符号(小数点负号等),这个系统可以明确的表示所有的有理数。为了表示极大或极小的数字,人们在阿拉伯数字的基础上创造了科学记数法

一般也用阿拉伯数字表示其它进制的数,用时选一部分数字或增加几个数字。

阿拉伯数字始创于印度(但当时没有0),后来传到中东地区阿拉伯地区,而得此名。现在它已成为目前使用最广泛的记数系统,通行于全世界。

Arabic numerals, also called Hindu-Arabic numerals[1][2] or Hindu numerals,[3]are the ten digits: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, based on the Hindu–Arabic numeral system,[4] the most common system for the symbolic representation of numbers in the world today. In this system, a sequence of digits such as "975" is read as a single number, using the position of the digit in the sequence to interpret its value. The symbol for zero is the key to the effectiveness of the system, which was developed by ancient mathematicians in the Indian subcontinent around AD 500.[4]

The system was adopted by Arab mathematicians in Baghdad and passed on to the Arabs farther west. There is some evidence to suggest that the numerals in their current form developed from Arabic letters in the Maghreb, the western region of the Arab world.[5] The current form of the numerals developed in North Africa, distinct in form from the Indian and eastern Arabic numerals. It was in the North African city of Bejaia that the Italian scholar Fibonacci first encountered the numerals; his work was crucial in making them known throughout Europe and then further to the Europeans who spread it worldwide. The use of Arabic numerals spread around the world through European trade, books and colonialism.

The term Arabic numerals is ambiguous. It most commonly refers to the numerals widely used in Europe and the Americas; to avoid confusion, Unicode calls these European digits. Arabic numerals is also the conventional name for the entire family of related numerals of Arabic and Indian numerals. It may also be intended to mean the numerals used by Arabs, in which case it generally refers to the Eastern Arabic numerals. It would be more appropriate to refer to the Arabic numeral system, where the value of a digit in a number depends on its position.

Although the phrase "Arabic numeral" is frequently capitalized, it is sometimes written in lower case: for instance, in its entry in the Oxford English Dictionary,[6] which helps to distinguish it from "Arabic numerals" as the East Arabic numerals specific to the Arabs.

The decimal Hindu-Arabic numeral system was developed in India by AD 700.[7] The development was gradual, spanning several centuries, but the decisive step was probably provided by Brahmagupta's formulation of zero as a number in AD 628. The system was revolutionary by including zero in positional notation, thereby limiting the number of individual digits to ten. It is considered an important milestone in the development of mathematics. One may distinguish between this positional system, which is identical throughout the family, and the precise glyphs used to write the numerals, which varied regionally. The glyphs most commonly used in conjunction with the Latin script since early modern times are 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. The first universally accepted inscription containing the use of the 0 glyph in India is first recorded in the 9th century, in an inscription at Gwalior in Central India dated to 870. Numerous Indian documents on copper plates exist, with the same symbol for zero in them, dated back as far as the 6th century AD, but their dates are uncertain. Inscriptions in Indonesia and Cambodia dating to AD 683 have also been found.[8]

穆斯林鼓励生育的,穆斯林家庭4,5个孩子都是很平常的事,穆斯林人口增长速度远远超过大家的想象
魁北克人也鼓励生育。60-70年代出生的人,7-8个兄弟姐妹的很普遍。
但是情况说变就变,现在的魁北克人,2个孩子的普遍,3个的都不多了,保持人口的再生产靠移民。
穆斯林的情况,也差不多。三代穆斯林,很少有要3个孩子的。我认识的,一个30多了,单身,男士;一个女士快30了,单身。不能用静止的观点看人。外人还以为我们出国前留大辫子,女人裹脚昵。

基督教也一样鼓励生育,欧美甚至还有给孩子的各种福利,也经常有反对堕胎的传统或保守派基督徒集会。八十年代前欧裔也经常五六个孩子,当然那时候老中也一样。现在老中老欧让生也不生,穆斯林到二三代同样入乡随俗。不生孩子根源和是否鼓励生育无关,在于经济和分配模式。高效的资本剥削是最有效的节育,对什么人种都一样。
相对应的,老美老中的富人也经常好几个娃,象川普晚舟苑刚艺谋类,可惜贫富分化后,富人太少,生的总数有限。
