The Four Villages Community Health Centre has two locations in the Bloor-Keele area of west Toronto. It is funded by the Toronto Central LHIN. Four Villages’ mandate is to provide high quality, accessible primary health care to the communities within its service area, in the context of the broader social determinants of health. A wide range of programs, as well as clinical, general health and social services, are primarily aimed at seniors, families with young children, youth and newcomers. Staff collaborate in an interdisciplinary team environment. The focus is on the client and capacity building. We are currently seeking an energetic Information Technology Coordinator who will become a member of our interdisciplinary team
Information Technology Coordinator
(Permanent Part-Time ? 21 hours per week, 0.6 FTE)
Reporting to the Director, Operations and Systems Management, the Information Technology Coordinator will be responsible for the overall functioning of the IT system at Four Villages. You will act as the primary technical support for all staff and liaise with and supervise contractors who work for Four Villages as information technology, computer systems or network consultants. You will coordinate the maintenance and reliability of the IT systems and infrastructure. You will plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer assets and electronic data.
Summary of Responsibilities
•Ensures functionality and integrity of Four Villages’ hardware and software systems;
•System administration for virtual environment, software support, incident response, service restoration and root cause analysis
•Maintains system backup and backup procedures, configuration and implementation
•Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems (MIS) policies and controls to ensure accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance;
•Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and IT functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to determine system capacity;
•Plans, coordinates and implements security measures to safeguard information in computer systems;
•Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases;
•Recommends contract terms with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for IT and products and supervises their work;
•Assists with budget preparation and monitors relevant budget and expenditures;
•Works during both regular and extended hours of operation in locations identified by Four Villages.
Qualifications
•Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science or Network Administration
•Three or more years experience in network administration, preferably in technical support in a health or not for profit setting;
•Experience with supervision of contractors and/or consultants
•Strong technical troubleshooting abilities;
•Excellent oral and written communication skills;
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, conflict management and time management skills;
Hours of work: 21 hours per week (on site, regular business hours, with some flexibility)
Salary: $ 27.47 to $ 30.70 per hour, plus excellent benefits
