Sherbourne Health Centre (SHC) provides innovative primary health care for the diverse populations of southeast Toronto. We have a special focus on people who are homeless, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual and transgender communities, and newcomers to Canada. Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network, Sherbourne Health Centre works collaboratively with clients, staff and organizational partners and hosts student placements for a variety of learners.
We are presently looking for a Full Time Systems Analyst to join our IT & Operations department. Reporting to the Manager, IT & Operations, the Systems Analyst provides front-line support to end-users and monitors overall health of network and server systems. He/she will ensure that critical issues are identified and escalated as needed so that there is minimal impact to Sherbourne’s operations.

Responsibilities:
•Working in a multi-disciplinary environment, the candidate ensures that issues with the Electronic Medical Record Systems are resolved in a timely manner and escalated as needed.
•Responsible for maintaining end user accounts, permissions, and access restrictions.
•Respond to IT Help Desk inquiries in a 150+ user environment via phone, e-mail, and in-person; and providing critical nature on-call support after hours.
•Configure, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual Windows and Linux servers in a VMware, IBM Blade Centre, and Citrix environment.
•Configure and maintain Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy to manage and organize users, workstations, thin clients, and printers; and deploy applications using Citrix XenApp.
•Administer Lotus Notes and Domino e-mail, Blackberry Enterprise Server, IT and facilities help desk, access card, and duress alarm systems.
•Administer Cisco routers and Catalyst switches; wireless LAN controllers, RADIUS servers, and VoIP telephone systems consisting of Cisco CallManager and Unity; and Cisco ASA and Checkpoint firewalls.
•Perform disaster recovery planning and testing; and management of data backup and restoration using Netbackup.
•Providing end users with the training and support they need to become more efficient.
•Ensures software, hardware and network installs, re-installs, upgrades, moves, changes and relocations are made when necessary and as required
•Be available for rotating off-hours on-call duties and shifts.
Qualifications
•Community College or University course completion in a Computer discipline
•Requires knowledge of PC/LAN/WAN communications hardware / software, in a multi-protocol environment, and network management software
•3 years experience providing desktop support
•Microsoft MCSE or Cisco CCNA certification an asset.
•Excellent knowledge of Windows 2003/8, Active Directory. Working knowledge of CISCO networking products
•Excellent knowledge of Windows networking, TCP/IP, Telnet and FTP
•Working knowledge of MS Office components (Word, Excel, etc)
•Healthcare experience and/or experience with Electronic Medical Records a significant asset
