有什么实际的案例吗？你们懂法的人应该能很容易举出几个案例吧？如果没有案例我觉得只是你们自己信口开河而已了

I remember seeing it in China. I've never seen it in Canada and US. I travel and stay in hotels quite often due to work.

I remember seeing it in China. I've never seen it in Canada and US. I travel and stay in hotels quite often due to work.

what I will do?
1. I will first cancel my credit card to prevent any unauthorized charge.
2. then I will see how much they want. if reasonable, I just pay them, if not reasonable, I just leave.

(if wholesale $150 and the hotel is getting the tv from wholesale, the $200 seems a bit high. I will try to negotiate to $180 though. )

hi remember there are about 50,000 hotels in US/CA. I think you must be joking unless you are a hotel inspector or something. but even if you are hotel inspector you cannot visit every hotel, do you?

你就当我心口开河吧。
楼主案例是刑事案件加在民事案件之中，这个相当重要。
如果楼主没有锁车被偷性质就不一样了，比如在宾馆你损坏了东西你肯定要赔，如果有人进入损坏了电视，你觉得你赔？如果小偷进入不仅损坏了电视还偷了你的东西难道你替小偷赔？

然后是赔多少的问题，比如你觉得赔偿责任太高，你有很多方式解决，协商，买替代品，等等，不是他们说多少就多少，如果对方不妥协，如果价格并没有你说的500，他们要1000，而只是价格略高，你只能赔付基于合同。我感觉楼主的价格赔偿金就是显失公平，5倍于是与价值。
法律的意义在于不上法庭就解决问题。

oh just tell your bank you want to temporarily block your card. then try to negotiate with the hotel. if no deal, then you cancel the card and they send you new card.

Yes I have 5 credit cards so I can do this do 5 hotels. my new cards should have arrived by courier before I run out of cards. lol

如果楼主没有锁车被偷性质就不一样了，比如在宾馆你损坏了东西你肯定要赔，如果有人进入损坏了电视，你觉得你赔？如果小偷进入不仅损坏了电视还偷了你的东西难道你替小偷赔？

好吧，那上面有人已经说了比如去租汽车没买保险把汽车丢了的话，那也可以直接一走了之了，反正车行肯定有保险，让车行和保险扯皮去

撒谎在法庭是刑事责任。
丢了要报警证据的，真的假不了，假的也真不了，还是那句话，大家都别着急上火，公平公正要求自己权益。

the contract is ok. the contract did not ask for $500. the contract just limit the amount that the bikestore can ask which is a good thing. the problem is that the bikestore verbally asked for $500 for a $100 bike.
