呵呵，谢谢你帮忙核实！关于这个，其实因为偶的英文很烂，所以小孩申请时，包括各个学校的资料信息等所有申请事宜都是孩子自己搞定。我只记得有这么一回事，只记得孩子没申请医学专业却被医学专业录了，专业是临床医学实验（基本是这样，但不能保证每个名词偶都记的很确切，毕竟是两年前的事了。请问你查了有这个专业么？），具体到很细节的东西，我还真的说不上来。孩子这两天放春假跟同学一起去佛罗里达度假去了，要不，过两天我打电话让孩子也一起回忆回忆两年前的事？

Those majoring in the Behavioral Sciences and Humanities must demonstrate good performance in the Natural Sciences; those majoring in the Natural Sciences must, in turn, demonstrate a broad exposure to the Humanities.
Admission is possible only at the beginning of the academic year. The qualifications of applicants are evaluated without discrimination in regard to financial status, age, race, color, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. Persons who have previously earned a medical degree whether in this country or abroad are not eligible to apply. Some additional consideration is given to qualified students from Saint Louis University and to the qualified sons and daughters of this School of Medicine's alumni.

有一个这个专业，Clinical Laboratory Science， 可能是你说的，本科可以上的。可能henryj60说得是当医生的要求吧。我觉得如果孩子想当医生的话，要求是很高的，一些和医学相关的专业的要求就没有那么高。

一天没进来，楼主成了新闻人物了。可是这里不是每一个人都看不懂英文。这里有Saint Louis University School of Medicine ２００７年的招生录取请况。你说的是真是假一看便知。多费笔墨也无用。我比较不愿意码字。

其最基本要求是： MCAT:31GPA:3.76
达到录取条件还要择优面试，比例是 1:7.2。最后被面试的人是5.5取1?（加拿大算国际学生）.你孩子没有MCAT，没有大学GPA，没有被面试。那OFFER是怎么来的？是什么OFFER。看仔细了？是 School of Medicine 的 MD Offer?
不想在那个居然喜欢玩幼儿游戏，拿人名字搞谐音的帖子里回复（那种低级游戏也玩得津津有味，以为她的名字就不可以搞谐音，可笑），所以，在这里回复如下：
你这样说就没意思了。我家有孩子的录取通知书，你如果不相信也可以去那间美国大学查询是否有本科阶段医学院的录取，是否他家没有全额奖学金，那间大学的名字是St.louis，虽然是一所大家都没有听说过的大学，但在美国几千所大学里，也是排名前一百的文理学院，他们应该有孩子的申请档案。如果你不完全了解情况就这样毁坏我的名誉，真要打起官司来你可是必输无疑。你只是根据你知道的情况得出那些结论，但是，你真的确定你了解了这个世界上所有大学的情况了么？我们往往犯想当然的错误，我不认为你是恶意的，但也不能因为你认为不可能，所以就必须是我在撒谎请你了解清楚所有的情况后再下结论，这个世界上不是所有事情都是你认为不可能它就一定是不可能的。我为什么要找死说大家都认为不可能的事？
我还可以告诉你，我孩子没有申请多大的奖学金，因为当时孩子为去美国花了很多精力，他申请多大只是为了以防万一，怕申请美国大学失利。可是在孩子回复多大很遗憾不能选择去多大读书后，居然收到多大的奖学金通知。你一定也会认为这是天方夜谭。信与不信，你的心你做主。但事实就是事实，不会因为你不信，事实就会变成非事实。关于多大奖学金，我们一家一开始也觉得不理解，后来推理大概录取和发放奖学金是两个部门？发放不完全根据申请，而是根据家庭经济状况？
至于那家大学的医学院，为什么没申请居然录了，我们也觉得奇怪，所以才会觉得好玩拿出来闲聊，除了我说过的两个原因，或许是出错？可能性不大，或许是见鬼了？可能性更不大

其最基本要求是： MCAT:31GPA:3.76
达到录取条件还要择优面试，比例是 1:7.2。最后被面试的人是5.5取1?（加拿大算国际学生）.你孩子没有MCAT，没有大学GPA，没有被面试。那OFFER是怎么来的？是什么OFFER。看仔细了？是 School of Medicine 的 MD Offer?

看来你没仔细看我的帖子，我孩子没在加拿大读过一天书，是从国内直接申请的美国大学，不是国际学生难道是美国本土学生？我只知道我孩子的确是被没有申请的医学专业录取（重申一遍，孩子申请的是他最钟爱的理论物理专业），至于你说的那些，我没必要去关心，那只是些泛泛而谈，并不代表最后所有录取结果。还有，面试是针对美国本土学生的，对中国大陆的学生，一般会有面试官去国内面试，但录取条件肯定不是非得一定要有面试（超过半数以上留学生没有过真正面对面的面试）。关于这一点，可以上大陆中学生申请留学的专门网站CUUS看看便清楚。我陪孩子经历过申请的全过程，这些情况当然了解。录取我孩子的学校，只有四分之一有面试，而且还是电话面试（虽然有一所学校承诺可以提供往返机票，但考虑到签证问题，我们还是选择的电话面试

再多即句嘴。其实我生性平和。对孩子的引导培养下过很多功夫。今天在这里也是想和各位家长交流经验。我只对事实叫真，这毕竟是一些家长关心的。之所以我感驳楼主的医学院之题，是因为这些年来我没少研究。加拿大的１７所（现在是１８），美国的１５０余所医学院都一一研究过。因为我女儿上高中时就立志学医当医生。
也来说说我女儿，今年大四将毕业，学的是医学科学系，病理病毒学。下一步就是进医学院。这个专业如果进不去医学院就什么也不是。她大学前３年的 GPA 是 3.97/4，０７年考的 MCAT 42S(45T满)，并且有加拿大一流医生和教授的推荐信。这些硬件条件已经到达了任何医学的录取门槛。她申请了１０个学校，到现在为止，她收到７个医学院的面试邀请信。已经完成了６个面试，其中包括美国圣路易斯华盛顿大学Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine 。还有约翰霍普金斯Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine ，你们查下便知，这是美国排名２、３的医学院。还有UBC，麦吉尔，多伦多大学，女王大学和西安大略大学。
孩子的培养既要顺其自然，又要修边引导。我的体会就是“宽松”。宽松的家庭气氛，宽松的学习环境。正面鼓励为主，关键时刻适当督促，调动孩子的积极性。孩子能做的家长不主动参与，该孩子做的家长不要代劳。这些话说起来容易，做起来不那么简单。
要培养孩子用心去做事。用心去做做的事，事倍功半。其实孩子用功拿到好成绩是再正常不过的了。应该达到并没用功就拿到好成绩。这样才有进一步的潜力。这就是“用心”和“用功”的区别。
最后就是孩子做真正喜欢的事，才容易成功。
