An International Driving Permit (IDP) allows an individual to drive a private motor vehicle in another nation when accompanied by a valid license from their home country. The document is slightly larger than a standard passport and is essentially a multiple language translation of one's own existing driver's license, complete with photograph and vital statistics. It is not a license to operate a motor vehicle on its own.

你可以申请考这边的驾照，但是中国没有IDP，小心被人骗了。

还不如翻译下驾照。
不过老外好像看得懂中国驾照。

如果居住超过6个月,则需要BC驾照.

我记得以前国内的新闻上说过，根本就没有国际驾照这个东西，都是骗人的。

我记得以前国内的新闻上说过，根本就没有国际驾照这个东西，都是骗人的。

国际驾照还是有的，不过很多人的理解错了。比如美国的IDP是18岁以上的美国有效驾照持有人在当地办理的，他不会给中国驾照发IDP，因为中国驾照不是他颁发的。再有IDP本身不是独立的驾照，只能证明你的有效驾照。IDP办理费用不超过20刀， The Department designated the American Automobile Association (AAA) and the American Automobile Touring Alliance as the only authorized distributors of IDPs.

国际驾照是翻译件,需要配合原驾照使用.

我以前认识那些留学生也是拿着翻译证件长期使用。

留学生不需要驾照

是吗，你确定？我周围留学生比较多，没一个考驾照的，都是拿着翻译件用着呢！

说是 non-resident的学生可以不用local驾照,但non-resident这个如何认定就不晓得了.
