think about this way, you'll have more alumni here in SK if you graduate from Usk or URegina, even Siast.

and URegina even gurantees their graduates a job within 6 months. if not, they'll waive up to one year's worth (30 credits) of additional undergraduate tuition and course fees.

the two Us have a very strong relationship with local
employers...

I have lots of colleagues from USK/URegina/SIAST, and I know many Chinese students got a job in gov or big companies right after their graduation.

不错，大学和大专（SIAST）给在校学生提供很多实习机会，很多学生实习完就留在原单位了，而且，实习的都是好单位，这些单位，比如，电力局，能源局等政府单位，在别的省份是不容易进的，特别是现在经济不好的状况下。再者，有了这些单位的经验，即使离开萨省，到其他省也能很轻松的找到类似的好单位。。。

Edit: I get an email from the Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon today (Mar. 02, 2011), and they have a CERTIFICATE IB program that student may study isolated IB classes IB French in this case would be an option.

Is this a good news for you? I'll clarify this with schools in Regina.

summer school? 夏令营吗？多数不需要，有些比较紧俏的需要。

我只是听说summer school一般在7月开学，学习2个月，有学英语的，还有学习滑冰什么的，有不少program ,也有人叫他夏令营。别的我也不知道了。

我只是听说summer school一般在7月开学，学习2个月，有学英语的，还有学习滑冰什么的，有不少program ,也有人叫他夏令营。别的我也不知道了。

The Saskatoon/Regina school board do have summer schools at summer time. In the summer school, you can take English courses but also other courses. But it's not a 夏令营.

我听别的朋友说让孩子先去上个summer school学习语言，等孩子9月正式开学时英语会好不少，所以想早点过去先学学语言。

呵呵，小学的话我就不着急了，我们孩子今年16了，过去应该上10年级了，有点紧张。

上夏令营也不能帮多大的忙。Summer School有文化课，但是你家孩子还在学龄好像不能上。建议现在国内抓紧些。中国孩子的语法都不错，就是听说要跟上。听是老师教不了的，建议天天听英语电视，听多了就好了。

Sorry for the confusing. It's not 在学龄不能上. but you may not get the credit if you don't have the permission from the school. you can always pay and go to the school. And for 夏令营, will be the same. pay and go.

和一个美国人练口语will not help your kid any on the 词汇量. Your kid needs more reading.

My personal experience tells me the ESL course is just a waste of time and money.
