哇,楼主太厉害了,写了这么多有用的东西,花了一晚上的时间终于爬完了
看的我这个激动啊,也想要买老房子翻建啦!就是担心我自己的英语不够好,而且也从来没有这方的经验,不知道以后可不可以向楼主请教啊?

楼主今天看了个房子.基本上1楼和2楼的地板要换,然后backyard的草皮要换.
地下室是unfinished,基本就是裸露的.
这如果要upgrade 一下,要多少钱?
不要太保守估计也不要太奢侈估计,中等就好.哈哈哈
我看看和我和老狼的估计差多少.

1。地板：跟面积和材料有关系，从$2/sqft到$15/sqft (material+labor)
2。草：有不同的sod和种子
3。裸露的地下装修比较方便

You said you bought this house from the property owners directly. Did the property owners have the for sale sign outside of their house? If not, how did you get their contact information?

Do you think I can find a house like yours for $400,000 now? How much did it cost to construct your house? What is the name of the elementary and secondary schools at your area?

3. Cost of renovation + addition depends on what you want. For a house like ours, it can range from $200,000 to $400,000 or even more.

收敛一点享受夏日阳光的心情，想想也是最近没怎么在这里与筒子们分享入住以后的感受，实在有些怠慢。但说实在的，多伦多也就是这个季节惹人喜爱，随着户外运动的增多，上网的时间相对也少了很多，真的很感谢一直追看这个帖子的朋友们。
说心里话，没来加拿大不知道自己这么热爱劳动，并且值得庆幸的是，慢慢发现我们全家都还挺有劳动能力的。就像我先生说如果一直呆在北京，可能一辈子也没有机会自己动手铺草坪和刷油漆。关于我们自己动手的纪录，有时间写给大家，回味起来也是别有一番滋味的。

上次传的那张房子的外照是我们没有做车道和铺草坪的照片，下面的照片是带着阳光温暖的影像，请大家好好欣赏吧。
车道旁边的木头矮墙，和草坪是我们自己做的。

凭心而论，关于铺草坪这件事儿，还是挺值得炫耀的。我们的邻居都说我们运气不错，铺的草坪成活率100%。其中付出的是：前后院共铺四次才完成，有一次还是雨中作业呢！每天早晚各浇水一次。每星期割草一次。还是请看照片吧：

注：看到车道边的木头矮墙了吧，那可是我先生成绩，基本上达到专业水平了，以后谁家要是做这种花园的墙，直接找他吧。
