House price in Calgary is getting higher and higher. For example, an apartment with 1 room in downtown could be more than $230,000. But if you don't care about the location, it would be a good option.

Please keep 2 things in mind when you buy an apartment:

1. You have to pay a management fee e.g. $200~400 per month.

2. For a new immigrant, the bank will request 35% downpayment if you apply for a mortgage, i.e. .you will have to pay $525,00 minimum.
