This free program begins November 22, 2010
- Classes are Monday to Thursday afternoon 1:00pm-5:00pm for 19 weeks.
- There is a non-paid 2-week job-shadow placement in your medical field to get Canadian experience and a local reference.
What will you learn?
- Language Skills including speaking, listening, pronunciation, grammar and specialized reading and writing skills for Health Care Professional
- Understanding the Canadian workplace by visiting local health care facilities and speaking with local doctors and nurses
- Techniques for effective communication-Learn how to interview clients, deliver bad news, speak with family and resolve conflict
Join us if you are:
- Educated abroad (outside Canada) and living in Canada for 5 years or less
- Having difficulty finding a job or getting your license because of language barriers
- A permanent resident or convention refugee
- Have 1 of the 4 Canadian Language Benchmarks at level 6
