北边的RAWDON,有个多元文化节,绝对值得泡一整天的,可以半夜开车回来。 Leisure and Culture
Every year, the Culture and Recreation Service works closely with local organizations and resources to provide its citizens with a varied program of culture, sports and other recreational activities.
Educational institutions collaborate with us to make the following facilities available to its citizens: Metcalfe Community Centre, the pool and the gymnasium.
Due to the wealth of nature that surrounds us, Rawdon boasts several parks and green spaces throughout our territory. These include the priceless Dorwin Falls, Rawdon Lake municipal beach, Cascade Park, Rawdon Place which is located in front of City Hall and provides an exceptional view of Rawdon Lake, and the new Rose Garden located along the same lake at the very end of 6th Avenue.
Rawdon boasts sporting facilities for soccer, baseball, tennis and bocce. Also, our network of bicycle trails will soon undergo a makeover that will make cycling easier in our urban and rural environments. In winter, the beach on Rawdon Lake is the starting point for skaters. People can skate on a natural rink on the lake that is more than 2 km long, on a trail that winds through a pine forest. Two other outdoor rinks offer hockey and free skating.
The Rawdon Intercultural Festival takes place on the second weekend of August(多元文化节在8月份的第二个周末). Our service oversees the organization of these high quality cultural events. Numerous other activities listed in the entertainment calendar are held during the year and are a testament to the energy and creativity of our citizens.
Finally, we are proud to invite you to click on the Culture and Recreation tab and look over our various services that correspond to the needs of our diverse population.
