Banff, what you have said hit me deeply. I am the guy who do not know which kind of job I like best, therefore the only thing that matters is the pay.
I would like to get some detailed and true information about the welder.
Could you please give me some information about welder on the salaries in different level? From the apprentice 1st year, 2nd year to journeyman certificate?
Well, as first year welder apprentice, you will get 60% of the journeyman rate which from 28 to 33 in the city, 38 to 44 in the field. That means if you are lucky you may get pay as much as 26bucks an hour. 75% for 2ndyear and 90% for third year.

According to your another post that show us your 4000CAD wage note of one week, may I consider it that you worked for almost 100 hours to get the bucks, or your salary is more than 40 per hour plus subsidy? In other word, how many hours you worked in that week?

Actually that was the record in so many years. It was seven days work, thirteen hours a day, plus a long weekend, which was three days' double time ,one day's time and half, only three days' straight time, plus two hours double time every day(working over 10 hours would be double pay). So the caculated hours would be:
3*10+1*10*1.5+3*10*2+7*2*3=147
the rate was 42.29
plus ten percent vacation and statu holiday.

You are a very nice guy! As far as I known, you worked totally about 66 hours in that week, but it accounted as 147 hours wage, really? It is so cool, that means your salary is up to about 60 per hours in that time.
